The cursor behavior in iOS 17.1 is annoying. You can't move the cursor without bringing up the bubble. The space bar and back arrow moves it back and forth, but it won't skip over anything. Having to bring up the bubble is not very intuitive.
 
17.1 is a beta?!?… how were you thinking/expecting a beta would have better battery life? It’s unfinished software.

If things are “pathetic” I’d do a restore back onto the beta. You can find a guide on page one up top.
One could actually easily argue that for over a year even the public releases were unfinished, and that's just sad, pathetic even...
Let's just mention the Notification center bugs, the awful battery drain on iOS 16, or the ProMotion games stuttering on touch.

By the way, if anyone has any ideas how to raise awareness to this 'ProMotion game stutter on touch' bug, please do do share.
 
Does anyone know what this is with images? I tap on it and the screenshot shows. It also did like this when I uploaded an image to Box.
