New modem for the 13 series as well as updated carrier versions in Canada. I was having some crazy cellular standby power drain that started with iOS 17 so hopefully this helps.

If you are upgrading an iPhone 15 that is presently on 17.0.2 to the 17.1 beta you should have not data loss issues. But, as always, you should back up your phone regularly.

Yep - custom tones are back; all the new tones (alert and ringer) have gone.

It's as if they built 17.1 on an earlier beta version of 17.0.

I'm hoping that's not the case, because it could still mean that in beta 2 they remove them again. Never know with Apple anymore.

There are some things they could be fixing that won't be listed in the release notes. Still hoping for a fix relating to high battery usage on the iPhone 15 Pro (Max)... but that might be wishful thinking.

I know this is weird, but has anyone found the 17.0 notification sounds in .mp3/.m4r format? I’ve got the ringtones but not those.

I want to test 17.1 to see if it addresses any warming issues but I miss my new sounds too much.

Nope. the 15 Pro will have to be on 17.1 as well. Better to just wait
