Follow up to my previous post. It’s not a new sound, iOS is now using the sound that is set as the Default Sound to alert you to critical alerts.

If this isn’t a bug, it’s a terrible decision. Medication follow up alerts need to actually get your attention like the old sound did.

I have a hearing deficit at higher frequency ranges. I can’t hear many smoke detectors, for example, and the current critical alert sound on the iPhone just sounds like rhythmic clicking to me. So being able to choose a sound that’s actually audible to me is appreciated. But the high pitched sound should be the default, to be sure.

15PM
WiFi

Had this issue and a lot was noted in the 17.1.1 thread.

Still seeing a significant drop in WiFi speed on 6 when I am more than 10 feet from the modem (1GB down on 2.4/5/6)

All under a single ID, or split into individual bands, the result is the same.

Not seeing this drop like this is any other device that supports 2.4/5/6. No change under beta 4. The phone has been replaced once when a defect was found under test at an Apple Store.

Great point! Sucks that the “old” higher pitched sound isn’t an official sound that can be picked. Maybe they will add that option or default back to it.
