Do we know which apps specifically?
They did not provide an extensive list:

“To start, overheating can occur with some recently updated third-party apps, causing them to “overload the system,” the company said. Those apps include Instagram, Uber and arcade racing game Asphalt 9.

We’re working with these app developers on fixes that are in the process of rolling out,” Apple said in a statement.”

If it were me having this issue, I would update every app that has an update available to rule out the app.

Nah I am not using any of those apps. All the apps are updated to their latest version as of writing this comment. Even the battery section doesn’t show any suspicious app consuming too much battery.

Unfortunately the random overheating issue is not yet fixed on my 15 Pro Max. It heats up randomly out of nowhere and the top left side of the screen and area besdie camera gets very hot to touch.

I will be doing some safari browsing, few youtube clips and some whatsapp and bam! phone getting warm and battery dropping like crazy...almost 5% in 10 mins or so.

Next day, zero heating issues and battery is still 70% by 6PM which is ridiculously good.

Anyone face same issue?
You’re heating it wrong! ;)

What car do you have? My wife's 2020 CRV is flawless with my Iphone 15 but my Toyota Rav4 HV, works flawless unless I make a phone call. Everything connects, I can hear the other person but they can't hear me. I have to reboot Carplay then it works...very annoying.
Lexus NX 2022. iPhone 15 pro. Have tried several different cars and different phones (wife phone is 12 pro) and still have same Siri bug. It makes using messages in the car not possible. Apple said it’s a known bug and wait for a fix. iOS 17.1.2 is out today. Will install that and see if a car play fix is in there

for me, beta 4 has (so far) resolved all my wifi issues on my iPhone 15 pro max. Ive had issues on every build since launch
Fingers crossed mine will be the same. Has been driving me crazy it was so bad. 1 out of 4 videos would play without pausing (sometimes for 30 seconds) and most web sites freezing while loading.

Since this update, I haven't had a chance to test with my normal coffee routine, but with the few I've watched, they've played through.

I just had to delete Mail for the second time in a day. Something keeps corrupting.
And phone getting hot.

Might be time to reinstall the beta via IPSW (instructions under one of the “Spoilers” at the bottom of the first post in this thread) or revert back to 17.1.2.

Any improvement in WiFi speed on this beta?
My Wifi issues have been fixed. Now it connects and remains connected to wifi. Speedtest on 5Ghz (80Mhz channel width) is 800 Mbps. 6Ghz (160Mhz channel width) is 1040 Mbps which maxes out my gigabit connection.

I have TP-Link BE900 but my 15 PM doesn’t see the 6Ghz band. It sees and connects to 6Ghz band for few minutes after restart but then the band disappears. I have same SSID name for 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz and 6Ghz as per Apple’s requirement and PSC enabled.

However Intel BE200, AX210 and Qualcomm QCNCM865 m.2 chips in laptops and PCs can see and connect to 6Ghz band just fine.

I don’t know if it is iPhone/iOS issue or Apple actively blocking 6Ghz band in India as it is not yet approved for Wifi6e/Wifi7 use.

How did you reinstall Mail? I deleted the Journal app, then installed b4 via the IPSW, and still no Journal app. (I tried the App Store without success.)

I don’t use the betas but this is ridiculous that we are almost 3 months after the iPhone 15 release, and the WiFi is still broken.

I hope they fix the bug in Carplay, where Siri reads a message and asks if I want to reply, and I say no, and then Siri says “you replied, no, would you like to send?” Pretty obvious AI isn’t involved.

You should report it - it's not universal as mine is working correctly.

I have the exact same issue. It’s been like that since I got my iPhone 15 pro end of September. I reported it multiple times to senior tech and they ran diagnostics and I sent logs. Engineers said it’s a software bug and wait for an update. What kind of car do you have? I have tried Lexus NX and Mazda CX and Volvo. I installed 17.1.2 yesterday and found this bug is not fixed. On my wife’s iPhone 15 running 17.2 b4 it is still not fixed.

I have also done DFU and set up as new as a test and the bug is still there. Apple engineers said not the car, not the phone. Software bug for sure

Which model phone do you have? What car? I have tried iPhone 15 pro, and iPhone 12 Pro and Lexus, Mazda, Volvo so far. Still have the issue across all this
