I just hopped on the 17.2 beta train from 17.1.1 official. On 17.1.1, I was having a weird issue where sometimes when I would tap my 15PM screen to wake, it wouldn't do anything or it would lag by 1-2 seconds. It appears that on 17.2 B4, that issue is gone...for now.

I am unable to view my HomeKit cameras when connected to the cellular network (they just timeout), but are fine when on my home Wi-Fi. Before I report it, anyone else with the same issue? This is regardless of whether my Apple TV or any HomePod is the HomeKit hub (all on the current developer/public betas) Ta.

I can view mine over cellular just fine.

Reminders Widgets still broken on 15PM (not all users apparently)

Beginning to wonder if it is that some users modify or replace the default smart lists and somehow this has buggered the widget?

Widget is blank and does not allow you to choose a reminders list. On Lock Screen and home screen.

SOLUTION

This can be fixed by turning off Bold Text (Accessibility|Display & Text Size|Bold Text)

Finally!

Installed the public beta earlier.

Anyone notice Mail constantly doing stuff in the background?

Not seeing this here.

Do you have Fetch enabled for any of your accounts? If so, how often? I've noticed sometimes fetch can cause mail to run in the background a lot if your phone is having trouble reaching your mail servers. It's why I turned it off (it wasn't that reliable anyway) and tell people at work to message me on Teams if it's urgent.

I do have fetch enabled. Rebooted 45 mins ago and that may have sorted it

Thanks for the responses. It started working today just fine. No idea why last night it would simply say "Sorry I cant do that now..."

The only thing I have noticed with this request, and this has been the case for months and many releases, is that the iPhone seems to need to have been on for a good few minutes before it will actually respond to that one.

Do you have wifi turned on, on your Mac?
Um, yeah. I guess from now on I’ll say specifically that AirPlay from iPhone to Mac with Lockdown enabled on both is broken. Although entering Lockdown does toggle off AirPlay reception in macOS settings, it should—as it has in the past—work after re-enabling that setting.

Mine works fine on wifi or cellular
