No longer available for upgrade/downgrade... :(
Sure it might feel a bit sad to not having the possibility to go back, but for me its also a positive thing that Apple moves on and pushes people to use a up-to-date OS rather than old unsecure ones.

In this case I'm guessing that this move means we won't see an iOS 17.7.2 and the only way forward is iOS 18.
The next update will prob be 18.1.1 or 18.2 and iOS 17 should be considered "unsupported" with patches.

Now, if Apple could just reverse their decision and let the iPad Pro 2 (10.5") get iPadOS 18 as well...

iPad 6th gen as well since iPad 7th gen can be upgraded to iPadOS 18

Yea, problem with that one is that it only has 2gb of ram. It would be the only device having 2GB, the rest has 3GB or above. Maybe they should have left that one on iOS 16 or taken all the iOS 16 supported devices and got them on 17.

Its a bit messy to cut support on every OS. 12, 15 and maybe 17 would prob have made life easier for the developers.

I hope, there will be more updates to iOS 17. If i check for updates, there is only a hint, iOS 18 is *also* available.

There is still no In-your-face-jesus-banner for iOS 18, if i just enter the settings and no red dot on the settings icon, so there is still hope... ;)

My iPhone 14 is more frequently reload since ios 18 plus the battery is a little shorter. If possible i would stay at ios 17 but i have apple watch 10 that requires iphone with ios 18.
