I've been having some SERIOUS Home Screen lagging issues lately.

Toggling display zoom from default to larger text and back to default has fixed it. My Home Screen is silky smooth now.

Settings > Display & Brightness > Display Zoom.

Hopefully someone finds this useful 🙂

The legendary feature where you are typing and suddenly, unexpectedly, the typing sound gets 1200% louder, waking up everyone in the room, is still present in iOS 17.6.1

I’m gonna miss it the day they “fix” it. But I’m sure that day is still far away.

This has been "the legendary feature" for so many years and I have had this "feature" since 1st day purchase of my 13 Pro

Never had this happen to me, but maybe it's cuz I have the typing sound switched off?

You’re way late to conversation here. The moment that was seen as optional I was the first to call mea culpa. So far back, I’d have to dig to reference it at this point.

The non-optional matter of contention is with the contact posters and the way phone app now treats contact photos by letting them take over the whole screen, sometimes bleeding out the Phone.app call UI buttons. This needs refining.
Fair enough. My apologies for missing that you had already addressed that issue at some point. It got lost in the fray.

Hey! I’m used to having the private tab-group right below the regular tabs, like this, on iOS 16:

View attachment 2384646

However, from what I’ve seen on my freshly installed iPadOS 17, now the private browsing tab-group is below all the other tab-groups, to the point that it’s now more cumbersome to switch between the regular tabs and the private browsing.

I’ve tried, on the iPad, to edit the section, but all the tab-groups are customizable except the private tab-group, which remains below all other groups (at the bottom) on iPadOS 17.

I’m assuming this is the same behavior on iOS 17, so my question is… is there a way to move the private browsing tab-group upper, right below the regular tabs? I assume the answer is no, but I’m asking just in case I’m missing anything in the settings…
Tabs and mode control on Safari for iPadOS 18 is convoluted and messy.
