For some reason, I’m up as well. Download the Xcode 15 beta to my Mac so I can update my AirPods for my flight home in the morning.

Really want to try that adaptive mode and see how it works.

So after I got the ipsw installed everything seems to be working fine except I have the same giant problem I had with the ota, constant reprings when I swipe up from the lock screen. I’ve even had some reboots happen as well, not sure what is going on as I can’t find any other reports of this.

Submitted feedback to 🍏 yesterday.

I forget who had this issue but I am able to view yesterday's weather in the Weather app. You tap on one of the rows for daily weather. When the weather page opens up for that day, a calendar displaying a week appears at the top of the page. Simply tap on yesterday's date and you’ll get a summary for the day.

Just noticed that if you add an arrow to a screenshot from the markup tool (the smaller arrow at the bottom right of the shape picker) you only get one color option, black. That doesn’t work well on dark backgrounds. Going to submit feedback on this.

Different that’s for sure. Tap the + to choose a shape. Tap on the dot all the way to the left and choose the color you want the tap the circle 2nd from the right and set opacity to zero.

Why not just draw a square and circle and hold to make an autoshape though? 😅

Does Adaptive Mode also work on the first gen Airpods Pro?

Also, still hoping to see some input on how stable iPad OS 17 is.

Outlook can most definitely handle multiple email addresses in a single account. I have four different accounts in one account on my outlook client.
That's not what I meant. I own a domain: let's say "example.com". I want mails to any address at example.com to come to me. That's easy to achieve.

I also want to be able to reply from a large number of addresses. macrumors@example.com sales@example.com octopus@example.com shopping@example.com apple@example.com etc etc. I'm fussy 😆

Apple Mail handles this with aliases and selects the send-from address automatically (based on what was last used for that contact, or the address they sent their email to). Outlook doesn't do this. I'd have to create a whole new IMAP entry per email address.

As for separate accounts: I have a few. Three IMAP ones, two Exchange ones, two Google/Gmail ones. Both Apple Mail and Outlook handle these perfectly. I've been using Apple Mail for so long (on both my phone and laptop) that I'm now used to their layout; I also don't like giving third party companies (with the grudging exception of Microsoft for Outlook) my email addresses and passwords. So that rules out Spark and their ilk.

Seven burner phones, a hot air balloon prept and ready to fly 24/7, global passports and a dog… I mean, who are you? Now I understand the squid disguise 😆😂

I haven't had any problems so far with iOS17, all of my apps seem to be working ok too.

Speaking of which, what happened to the working/broken apps thread?

It seems to have disappeared. 🤫. Or I'm going blind. 🤣

The problem with that thread was that everything seems to work under iOS 17 for the most part.

From what I remember, the list was filled with compatible banking apps. All those, except for maybe one, were listed as working.

Noticing sporadically that iMessage seems to drop me down to sending text messages until an iMessage comes in from someone. Then I can respond to the message with a blue bubble. But I can then go into another thread with someone I KNOW has an iOS device (and most likely isn’t on the beta wagon) and I will be forced to send via text message.

Cycling airplane mode fixed it briefly.

Gonna hard restart.
Seems there are a few others with same issue. Thats somewhat of a show stopper for me as I send a LOT of mixed SMS/iMessages in groups and such. Most in the groups are SMS. Not sure I want to deal with that for 3 weeks.
Noticed yesterday that my messages (with others on iOS) would drop to test/SMS (text input field would be labeled ”text” and I’d send green bubbles) until that person sent me something. Then I’d be ok for a message or 2 and it would revert back.

I turned on airplane mode for about a minute and also did a force restart and it hasn’t happened since. But I’m watching for it.
