iOS 17 Beta 2 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

I am a Windows user and iTunes has not yet been updated to iOS 17. It will not be until September, most likely.
use both in beta 1, and now with beta 2, 3utools. This program has not yet been officially updated to support iOS 17. But in the two betas it installed well, because Apple is signing them to my surprise, but in a different order.
I explain. in ios 16, first format and reinstall the system partition, then flash the baseband and firmware. here in ios 17, first flash the baseband and firmware, and lastly the system partition.
you have a mac and you can use the tools that apple provides to perform the update and reinstallation tasks with the ipsw file, have you noticed if now apple has perhaps changed the installation process? Or is it simply the lack of optimization of the program in Windows...

I got it on the stars too, and it seems like it also dims the screen in the “non-HDR” area to make the logos stand out more. But it looks terrible.

So far I haven’t seen it anywhere else but someone else mentioned that he sees it in the outlook app. I wonder if it’s a specific image type that is affected somehow.

I had this issue and it’s fixed on b2.

So far my 14PM doesn't feel quite like the pocket flame thrower that it did on B1. We'll see if these items are resolved:

  • Battery life
  • Not locking when you set it down with an app open
Hopefully they get rid of this insipid smudge at the top of the Lock Screen in B3.

When choosing a track from the phone while using CarPlay, the next track in the album no longer automatically plays. It loses its place completely and defaults back to whatever media was last selected before the track that just finished. If you select the large play button at the top of the screen, tracks continue to play continuously as expected.

I’ll check this on my next long drive next week. If they’re added I’ll be so pleased. Sometimes it’s really difficult to know when one is coming up when you want one.

Maybe they weren’t able to. You really can’t believe that it’s just a matter of sitting down and addressing it.

The “which app to use” context in CarPlay - Siri is $&?#%! useless. Is there a way to set a default selection?

“Shuffle my _____ playlist.”

“Which app would you like to use?

Okay. *sigh*
“Apple Music.”

“A quick trip to Apple.com should be able to help you with that.”

Start over: “Shuffle my ______ playlist ON APPLE MUSIC.”

“Here’s [insert completely unrelated genre and/or topic] on Apple Music.”

Now the lady in the car in the next lane over thinks I have AGGRESSIVE Tourette’s.

May not be a “bug” per se, but even Siri wasn’t this inept for me in CarPlay prior to this B2 update.

Yep, since B1. I have it set to automatic as well, but it doesn't work unless I manually switch dark mode on in the evening.

I've seen some issues with PDFs. There is no rhyme or reason as to what works and does not work. I am seeing it on both the IOS 17 beta 2 and the Sonoma beta 2.
