Based on previous timelines of X.6/X.7 releases, iOS 14.7, 15.6 and 16.6 all released within the timeframe of July 19th - July 24th.

So we could possible see beta 3 this week, or we have another 2 week gap with a RC the week beginning 15th July, and then a public release the week beginning 22nd July.

17.5.2 coming soon. It could come this week but I'm expecting next week. Beta 3 7/15 RC 7/22 Public Releases 7/29. Just my opinion

ok this is weird 17.6 beta 3 is out which means RC next week. they could have easily waited 1 week and a half instead of pushing out 17.5.2

seems like 17.5.2 will either be tomorrow or never. Could be possible the leaker was wrong
I agree. I'd say there's a good chance 17.5.2 is going to include some security fix(es) if it's coming in this close to 17.6.

Since leaker claims to have a final build number (if it holds to be true), that suggests it is ready to go and perhaps just undergoing final internal testing. So probably tomorrow.

Okay, 17.5.1 downloaded and saved on my Mac. Just in case 17.5.2 or 17.6 turns out to be a battery hog.
Do you need to disable the beta options to be able to downgrade via IPSW?

I already have the Mobile Device pkg installed from Xcode 15.4 but the downgrade fails.

Zollo says the public release will be the 22nd. Again just odd but I guess that leaves no choice but for 17.5.2 to be tomorrow

Basically: don’t count on a 17.5.2 if 17.6 is right around the corner. I stupidly forgot myself and posted that in Tapatalk with the usual emoji explosion.
If they finally do release iOS 17.5.2 few weeks before 17.6, would that mean they have three separate teams working on 17.5 bug fixes, 17.6 and iOS 18 respectively?

I would suspect they have a sustained engineering team that takes care of bug fixes and most security updates for the current versions. The core dev teams usually work on features for the next version once we get to this stage of the product cycle. So, my guess would be sustained engineering (or Apple's equivalent) is working on iOS 17 now, and the core component teams are all focused on iOS 18.
