Tried it with both our cats, with not-so-good results.

Here's Sansa, and the better of the 8+ AI versions:

Not one of the attempts of her brother, Bran, was even close...

I can compare it to Microsoft Designer. Designer lets you use more trademarked and protected terms than Playground, but Playground is better with using selfies and photos of people.

I'm still grappling to get my head around Playground.
Well it is obvious that Apple boxed us in to protect from copyrighted item use no doubt. I also even find the results of using photos of myself to make nice AI art and emojis to be pretty cartoonish I suspect they are protecting from possible identity theft issues using real images of us in these dumbed down items. Yeah there are a few uses of AI would like to do better with photos but most of what I find out there like designer does not seem to have such options again maybe protection for too easy identity image creation although obviously there are package and such out there that bad actors are using to make fake imagery for nefarious purposes -lots of political crap currently

Yeah I wish they would allow some aspects of what they do with photos to be more realistic but then I do not understand the programming and model use and if they could make a AI that would differentiate people from non people in allowing more realistic renditions like sophphisticated AI can do.

I suspect the result with that cat were close because that seems to be the most common result from Playground - a striped tabby.

My girlfriend's old gray tortie came out like this. Not impressed so far.

I’m guessing that the animal “efforts” will improve with each beta.

The human ones can be strikingly good with real people. Not photorealistic (of course) but definitely the person who was the model.

They can also be awful.

Mail categories aren’t on iPadOS beta 1. They’ll be there later.

They changed how Siri responses work in an earlier 18.1 beta where now verbal responses are just rare in general; with the default option I pretty much only get verbal responses if I use “Hey Siri” and I’m not looking at the screen.

That being said, Siri doesn’t read chatGPT results. It will just say “I sent results from ChatGPT to your phone”.

I’m not on an iPad, but I haven’t had an issue of results going away after a few seconds.
Categories are woking on iphone 18.2 beta, but not ipad 18,2. At least on mine
