I updated my Xs Max about 7 hours ago. Phone lost 2 percent on standby as I went to sleep right after updating.

Battery is marginally below what I would expect for this time of day for me on my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Was last charged to full at 08:45 this morning and sitting on 91% just now.

I might be using / playing with it more though I suppose. No issues with heat.

Purely anecdotal here. I've had it installed since 3pm yesterday and after some initial setup and extra usage I haven't really noticed any additional power drain. I played Genshin for awhile last night, hour or so, and it dropped 15% which is normal on my 14ProMax. It didn't get nearly as hot though which is interesting. so far today, normal battery drain for me.

Also, this phone sucked with battery life before updating so iOS 18 is on par with iOS 17 FOR ME.

Currently using iOS 18 Dev beta on iPhone 15 Pro Max. Battery life 100% @ 06:30. Battery life 59% @ 10:56. On iOS 17.4.1 from 100% to about now I’d be sitting at 70-80 with normal light use at work.

That’s practically half the battery life

My day one battery life was garbage as expected. I spent a lot of time customizing the home screen and control center and taking screen shots. I did over six hours of SoT. So nothing I saw was unexpected. We shall see what it is like on a normal workday later this week.

iPhone 13 Pro here. So far battery life is much better than I expect from the Dev beta. Usually the first 24 hours I have to put my phone in the refrigerator and charge it multiple times, but it is running very similarly (within 5%) to how it did on 17.5.1 With regular use including driving navigation without charging.

I had the Accessibility process Sound Recognition using 23% of my battery. Did not turn that on, so I shut it back off. Hope that’s why I was seeing a fast drain.

I also had a hot phone yesterday, so did a reboot. We shall see how day 3 goes.
