Battery life seems to have taken a knock on my 16 Pro with 18.4.1

Possible indexing however no pop up notification in the battery menu.

Y’all guys showing off your cycle count 😂?

Here’s the cycle count and battery health of my iPhone 15 Pro:

@ATmahe wow dude that’s impressive all the other guys with 90-91% battery health or less weren’t even to that high cycle count like you

My phone still doesn’t bring me through my day with a single charge and I mainly use the Apple MagSafe charger.
MagSafe and wireless charging usually brings slower charging speeds than wired charging.

Had you tried wired charging for a long period of time alongside MagSafe?

Hey man, I meant on iPhone 15 and newer models where you can set a charge limit to cap it at a specific percentage.

Optimized Charging is a feature that all iPhone users have access to. It automatically pauses charging the phone beyond 80% if it meets any of the following conditions:

- The phone experiences high temperature or overheating.
- The phone is frequently charged instead of being charged from a lower percentage.

How it learns from your charging routine to safeguard the battery’s health.

I personally cap my iPhone at 90% because I’m on spring break and tend to dock my phone a lot when I’m at home hanging out in my room.

I’m putting it back at 95% when I keep it off the charger more often once schools back in session.

Wow lower cycle count!!! But I’m still 100% battery health and almost 200 cycles!!!!

Bold text???

I only wirelessly charge my iPhone with a MagSafe power bank on long days and on a wireless charger in my car.

My dock is wired only in my home and I use USB C cables Apple supplied one and the iHome one I got from the shops.

The 18.4.1 update has improved battery compared to 18.4 on my 13pro, thought it was more related to a different usage pattern that I noticed an increased battery consumption but seem like it might have been the update.

Need to test it a bit more but it’s a noticeable difference.

Judging by the results of the battery test on YouTube, the iPhone 11 has an increase in autonomy by 18.4.1. On my 11th, when actually using the Internet over the LTE network, the battery began to drain much faster compared to 18.4. In general, autonomy has worsened.

Autonomy? It is self-governing more?

I feel like putting iOS 18 on an iPhone 11 is like taking a Prius to track day. It will finish the course... eventually. But no one should expect a good lap time.

Yeah, sadly we have no choice. We have an iPhone 11 running iOS 14.6 and for compatibility reasons we have to update it.

I tested its battery life before updating and it’s at a respectable 11.5 hours of SOT. I expect it to be cut in half by iOS 18. I’ll test it and report back…

My 11 worked well up until 17.7.1. Then I updated to 18.3 and the battery life was cut in half.
