anybody can get the developer beta version for free. Join in on the fun, there aren't any show stopper bugs that will brick your phone, otherwise you would have heard about it already.I'm jealous of all you developers getting your hands on 18.2, I am over here waiting for the public beta. Work out all the bugs for me and I'll catch up in a few weeks. Looking forward to living vicariously through you all.
I had very few instances throughout the years when I was annoyed with dev betas. You learn to develop workarounds for everything encountered most of the time. But I always backup beforehand.I'm jealous of all you developers getting your hands on 18.2, I am over here waiting for the public beta. Work out all the bugs for me and I'll catch up in a few weeks. You just fill out all the agreements on the Apple Dev site until you get to the annual payment part, then stop, it will allow you to now log on and get the dev downloads with your Apple account.Alright - You guys convinced me. I am downloading it now. Let rock. I was still under the impression that the dev betas were a paid program. Thanks for dropping that knowledge.
Interesting questionI wonder how Apple will deal with Safari becoming uninstallable in the EU.
Will they make it a standalone app - available in the Appstore - so users could reinstall in case they decided to uninstall, thus untying it from OS updates? This might also allow devices that are perhaps purposefully being kept behind on updates to get an updated version of Safari and make staying on an older version of iOS more viable.

Of course there is the means to reinstall anything removed by the user.
Apps that are removed, such as the App Store, can be re-downloaded using an "App Installation" section in the Settings app.
Wednesday's RC version of tvOS 18.1 changes the build number to 22J580, from the previous 22J6578.
Check for another stealth update against tvOS 18.1 RC on Wednesday 10/23
I think Apple is going to skip over iOS 19.. and go straight to iOS 20
How many times have we seen a second RC or another build for the public release? For this to happen to 18.1 RC would be very unlikely, would be very fair to say?
Has happened 7 times in the past 5 years.Yes. Has happened only once or twice in the last 5 years.
MacOS 15.1 RC2 just released, build 24B83Seeing a RC2 pop up a day or two later just shows Apple at work, rather then no post QA after a RC. But sometimes like the recent tvOS example (different build) they don't even bother to announce it at all. You only find it by checking for updates. But none of this changes our minds that most of the time the RC is the same build as Public.![]()
