18.1 RC seems like a regular build to me---I forget I'm on a beta. I agree, should be the same. Also, I'm taking a break from Betas for a while, though. The older I get the less adventurous I become...

That’s because it IS a regular build. It’s not a beta. And if there are no issues it will be exactly what every one else gets later today.

I was just prompted that 18.1 is available on my 15 Pro and I’m already on 18.1 RC, does that mean it’s a new build?

You’re right I just got the notification too. I’m in 18.1 RC so does this mean it’s a new build?

Very strange so early...

A release before 10am?? Strange…

Edit: I know it’s been done before but I can’t remember when..

Probably because they will be doing the press release for the Mac hardware this afternoon.

Edit: I see the new iMacs have already been announced. As a result Its probably because they were announced along with Apple Intelligence that Apple did not want to have a time lag and so released it early so that people would not think that it was unavailable.

You need to join the waitlist and then turn on Apple Intelligence after it's downloaded. Go to Settings -> Apple Intelligence & Siri.
