As I said before, I think 18.3 will include some nice improvements and more “minor features”. Potential expansion of the “Default Apps” menu introduced in 18.2. Possibly new Siri Shortcut actions. Some “minor” additions to Apple Intelligence. But as always, what one person deems to be a “minor” improvement, another can find to be a “major” improvement. New Siri Shortcut actions could be very useful. New default app settings could be very useful to some. I think iOS 18.3 will likely bring some new changes, won’t be entirely bug fixes and performance optimizations, but it probably won’t be as big as 18.4. It may still be close to on par with 18.2 though. 👍🏻

hope we get a new build today, i hate that bug that returned, that adds the apple remote to the control center after restarting your phone.

4 hours until the final release hopefully, being in the uk it’s gonna be a big one
I've been wondering about whether today is release date or not. MSN is reporting that it is, but I see NOTHING reported on that by MacRumors which I tend to think would report on it if that were true. Hmm....

Macrumors would be under embargo. They can’t post until it’s released.

Am I reading this correctly, some YouTubers have already updated to 18.2 and testing it regarding the blue lines in some iPhone 16 Pros. So we'll get the update today?

Perhaps they've just updated to the Release Candidate. In the recent past, Apple has pulled back RC versions only to update them and then release them again as RC's

Ah yes, I didn't think about that, you're right. It could be that. The Camera button on my 16 Pro is so terribly slow when I press it and the photos take time to show up, unlike swipe to get to the camera. I don't understand why it does that. I hope that's a fix in the 18.2 I'll wait and see. Thanks for the reply :)

We're expecting Apple to release iOS 18.2, macOS Sequoia 15.2, and other updates on Monday,

Pretty much everyone participating in this thread have updated to 18.2. lol.
I guess so. LOL. I haven't though. I've decided to wait for general release versions rather than RCs or beta. In earlier years, it didn't bother me to have various bugs etc. but now it does (even though yes general release versions have bugs).

And this.

Interesting read. I think Apple has a very realistic take on this, and I’m glad they’re focusing more on the ways they can use AI to improve their products and ease of use for customers over pie-in-the-sky visions that aren’t really grounded in reality. 👍🏻
