Well if they release beta 1 today, that means no public beta until after New Years then.
I believe they released iOS 17.3 beta 1 this day last year.

And I do believe ChatGPT got that wrong… Again, AI gets these kinds of things wrong all the time.

Unfortunately I assumed developer beta. Once I changed it the correct date came up. (User error 😜)
So assuming it doesn’t drop today, the question is whether they will drop it next week or just wait til January to give them some time to finish up. Not sure who saw the 9to5 Mac article this morning, but apparently iOS 18 development is holding up iOS 19 development.

Unfortunately I think iOS 18.3 beta 1 will drop next year. Sounds like they need to hire some more developers.
Not going to put a DP1 on a device before all the developers take two weeks off for the holidays. It can wait.
Agreed. I will wait for beta 2 or public beta before updating. I run the betas on my primary device and I can't afford to have it inoperable.
It's not a DP (developers preview) like what you see with WWDC initial releases of a iOS version. The first beta of 18.1, 18.2 had no hesitation to using it from the get go as I always back up.
if they dont release 18.3 b1 before the end of the year, it will be the longest time I can remember being on a public release 😃
That’s the key: if you back up and know how to roll back, no issues. Of course, for our Windows friends out there it’s a bit more adventurous!
