If I was to hazard a guess as to why we haven't seen an update yet, it's because Apple is trying to re-design summarised notifications and get it out in the 18.3 release since they promised it within 'weeks'.

Also, there is a chance that the first beta for 18.4 drops before 18.3 RC, since this happened with 18.1 and 18.2. At this point though, I’m suspecting that we’ll probably see 18.4 beta 1 after 18.3 RC, since 18.4 will likely have 8 betas, and the timeline working backwards works best with first beta after 18.3 RC.
maybe we got beta 3s for the other platforms because they found bugs that needed to be fixed

I totally agree. I’m guessing 18.3 will incorporate some changes with the notification summaries to address the promised fixes. Personally, I don’t think the notification summaries “issues” are that big of a deal, Apple said it’s in beta and results may be inaccurate. I think the BBC is making a big deal over nothing, especially considering that they get facts wrong in their actual reports from time to time, and that’s their only job…. Someone said they got this email yesterday from Appleseed before receiving a “corrected” one. If real, it seems like beta 3 exists and was intended for release, so not sure what the delay is.

18.3 RC will land tomorrow 🙂 final released on monday.
Probably won't be Monday... Monday is a federal holiday and the presidential inauguration in the US.

My beta option has not turned itself off. I just took this screenshot. If it's still missing for anyone, are you on the Developer (paid) beta program, the Developer (unpaid) beta program or the Public beta program?

True no difference. I didn't turn it off I just went in settings to check for an update, and it wasn't there anymore.

There is none for betas. The beta build perk was moved to the free tier years ago.

So what would be the point and why are people paying? They would be sued if they were charging for a service that was actually free.
On the free account, last time I looked you didn’t have full access to all the swift software etc.
because a developer account is not only for betas 😛 You have to pay for the account to put a app on the Appstore...

There were a few 2.0 Software Updates released yesterday, maybe those were the reasons for the site downtime…
