I installed revised iOS 26 on my iPhone 15 pro max and… some animations works smoothly than before, icon drops animation when unlock very smooth now, notifications scrolling the same as app drawer scrolling (not too much smooth, but better)

How did you guys get the revised beta? I’m refreshing and nothing. Still on version 23A5260n 14pro max
Odd the way they listed it as just “iOS 26” on the Ipswich downloads page…

Two bugs not fixed in the new build:

Power button on the remote doesn’t work for me.

Battery widget is bright white in dark mode.

Also not able to save edits to my post above.

I updated from 18.5 to the new build after reverting to 18.5 from the original and I can definitely tell that the new build has significantly fewer stutters, frame drops and heat. It was cooler than the original build was, even when charging.
I'll give it a few days to see how it goes. Likely still going through indexing and other background tasks.

I'm still on 18.5 but I'm tempted to jump aboard the beta train with this revised beta. Seems like it's slightly more stable than the original build.
This is just first impressions, I didn't have either beta installed for long.
If 18.5 is a 10.

Stutters on Rev 1: 3/10
Stutters on Rev 2: 6.5/10

Heat on Rev 1: 2/10
Heat on Rev 2: 6/10

I can't help you with battery unfortunately.
This is assuming the device is still going through background tasks.

If you have no self control like me, it might be worth it.
If you have some level of self control, waiting for how people go with beta 2 may be advisable.

Unfortunately, I also don’t have self control and the beta is currently downloading haha

Well, I tried to do update to the new version of beta 1 via IPSW and ended up with an error so now I'm in DFU mode trying to do a restore.

I also went from iOS 18.5 to iOS 26 for a day or two. The battery drain (and how ugly it looks) ended up with me reverting back to 18.5… and now I’m tempted to update to iOS 26 AGAIN!

First time I ever reverted back after downloading a Beta 1, and I think I’ve installed every Beta 1 since iOS 4 or 5.

Has anyone tested battery life with / without accessibility transparency reduction? I haven’t tested it - but I’m curious to know how much is the toll to have all those glass refractions being processed everywhere on the interface…

Slight improvement in battery life during the 24 hours I tried.
