Anyone else just had a software update notification? I installed iOS26 straight away on Monday. Today it popped up saying there was a "Beta Update" downloaded and is currently installing it. No file size or anything and no beta number. Just said "Beta Update". And yes I was already using iOS26 with its liquid glass!

There was a revised beta version yesterday ! That has to be it what you got notified about

Generally going well with 16pm . However I am getting an issue where the screen brightness constantly goes very dim. Control panel slider doesn’t help though settings display menu does fix.. but only for minutes then it happens again

Reported but wondering if anyone wider had anything similar.

Seems to have started in last day (after beta 1.5)

In dark mode. Reboot didn’t help

This morning when I woke up I noticed that Standby Mode on my 16 Pro Max, which I place on a Magsafe charger each night, had frozen at about 6:40 am, with the clock hands not moving. I took the phone off of its charger, turned it off, then put it back on the charger, and this time the Standby Mode clock's hands moved properly. I tried it again, and this time the hands were frozen again, and no numerals appeared on the clock face. I'm guessing Apple will fix this at some point.

I may have seen that on my 16PM immediately after installing 26, and it didn't last long. This can happen when the iPhone is chugging away doing some processor-intensive tasks after an OS update, like indexing its files, but if you keep seeing this happen, and even after a reboot, that seems to be caused by something else, though I wish I could tell you what.

IPhone 15
‘Beta Update’ has bricked my Airplay, so now I can’t connect to HomePods etc.
Lots of problems with Music including not being able to add music to playlists or to library.
Screen brightness jumps up and down randomly.
First beta was better for me.

My phone calls are silent 🔇, zero ring tone and sometimes it rings , iPhone pro max 15 wtf and my lock screens can’t click. On SOB to edit the screen ???

So after 1.5 beta my calls are mostly silent 🔇 for no reason and sometimes they work , also my Lock Screen I can’t hold down and edit the screen . My widget are stuck below the screen ? Only way I can hear my phone sometimes is when my IMac 🖥️ is ringing ? Wild right ?

I think it’s the auto dim before the phone locks. It dims but never returns to full brightness when a key pressed

There’s no sluggishness now..

Very odd.
Switching auto brightness in accessibility off then on again seems to resolve this….. mostly. Auto brightness may be biased to a bit darker than before too

Can’t wait for this to be adjusted back down to a size that matches the system text size. Also not seeing a way to re-order the list. Feedback filed.

Installed it on old iPhone 12. Full of small cosmetic and function bugs but the showstopper was havoc it played with 3rd-party-battery charge, which was changing between 100% and <20% in under 30 minutes and then back to 80% after 10 minutes on wireless charger. Gave up and rolled back to 18.5 from DFU mode/restore.

And why would you, it’s only strange fitness buddy (or whatever it’s called) and some liquid glass design, that’s it 🤣
I always install anyway

Sleep focus no longer turns off Always on for sleeping, only real bug i found (can turn off manually tho)

And the beta removes a bunch of watch faces, if that matters to ya (supposing to make room for new ones in September)

I’m not brave enough to update my watch to the beta yet. my Ultra 1 still does well with battery and I can’t revert it back on my own like I can with iOS.
Do it. My Ultra 1 is showing signs of aging battery - at the end of one day of use, it was showing 44% at 6PM. With beta 1, my Ultra reaches the end of the day with 60%. It can be only showing wrong numbers 😂, but it seems to have a good benefit in battery life…
