Wow I can’t believe how different this new beta feels…
Wow. Super usable for me.
Installing watchOS 26 now.
(iPhone 16 Pro)
I’ve never ever installed watchOS betas 🤣. Too risky!I’m not brave enough to update my watch to the beta yet.my Ultra 1 still does well with battery and I can’t revert it back on my own like I can with iOS.
And why would you, it’s only strange fitness buddy (or whatever it’s called) and some liquid glass design, that’s it 🤣I’ve never ever installed watchOS betas 🤣. Too risky!
There was a revised beta version yesterday ! That has to be it what you got notified aboutAnyone else just had a software update notification? I installed iOS26 straight away on Monday. Today it popped up saying there was a "Beta Update" downloaded and is currently installing it. No file size or anything and no beta number. Just said "Beta Update". And yes I was already using iOS26 with its liquid glass!
I installed it solely for the new wrist flick gesture, which I’ve wanted for so long, and I absolutely love it.And why would you, it’s only strange fitness buddy (or whatever it’s called) and some liquid glass design, that’s it 🤣
So bad that you „need“ a watch 9 or newer… got the 8 on my wrist right now - next year time for ultra i think!I installed it solely for the new wrist flick gesture, which I’ve wanted for so long, and I absolutely love it.
I may have seen that on my 16PM immediately after installing 26, and it didn't last long. This can happen when the iPhone is chugging away doing some processor-intensive tasks after an OS update, like indexing its files, but if you keep seeing this happen, and even after a reboot, that seems to be caused by something else, though I wish I could tell you what.Generally going well with 16pm . However I am getting an issue where the screen brightness constantly goes very dim. Control panel slider doesn’t help though settings display menu does fix.. but only for minutes then it happens again
Reported but wondering if anyone wider had anything similar.
Seems to have started in last day (after beta 1.5)
In dark mode. Reboot didn’t help
Yeah agreed. Still on 8 too. But I’d go for regular not ultraSo bad that you „need“ a watch 9 or newer… got the 8 on my wrist right now - next year time for ultra i think!
I think it’s the auto dim before the phone locks. It dims but never returns to full brightness when a key pressedI may have seen that on my 16PM immediately after installing 26, and it didn't last long.
Switching auto brightness in accessibility off then on again seems to resolve this….. mostly. Auto brightness may be biased to a bit darker than before tooI think it’s the auto dim before the phone locks. It dims but never returns to full brightness when a key pressed
There’s no sluggishness now..
Very odd.
Not just me then! (See other posts)Screen brightness jumps up and down randomly.
Thanks. I toggled it offIn Settings for AirPods (when connected) thus can be toggled back again
Okay, okay. I'll install WatchOS 26 beta tonight.Wow I can’t believe how different this new beta feels…

I always install anywayAnd why would you, it’s only strange fitness buddy (or whatever it’s called) and some liquid glass design, that’s it 🤣
Do it. My Ultra 1 is showing signs of aging battery - at the end of one day of use, it was showing 44% at 6PM. With beta 1, my Ultra reaches the end of the day with 60%. It can be only showing wrong numbers 😂, but it seems to have a good benefit in battery life…I’m not brave enough to update my watch to the beta yet.my Ultra 1 still does well with battery and I can’t revert it back on my own like I can with iOS.
