iOS 26 Beta 1 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

That’s it.. bookmarks in Favorites are locked down, no editing. Other folders seem to be normal.

As a work-around I re-saved the bookmark into Favorites with a better name, and now it’s synced correctly to my iPad and iPhone (no access to my Mac right now), and I’m finding all newly saved bookmarks to Favorites can not be reordered either. The others that were previously saved can be reordered. Also, the favicon of Favorites bookmarks do not refresh either

I’ll report these Bookmarks management bugs to Apple shortly

Once I get to my Mac in a few days, I hope I can fix it up there in macOS 26

Maybe they reduced the time window for the auto updates. I think I read a long time ago when I was developing apps that auto updates work after 2 weeks of the update being released. Also it depends if the dev choose to send the update to everyone or do a gradual deployment.

I’m able to reorder and edit favourites on my iPhone 11.

I found that deactivating apple intelligence and reactivating solved my heat issues. I deactivated it, restarted and reactivated it again. After a good night of sleep my heat issues were gone. Hope this helps.

Using Apple’s Podcast app, when listening to a podcast and using the forward or rewind buttons on the “now playing” box that comes up on the Lock Screen, there’s a nice little animation on the buttons.
 
Anyone else seeing a box like this when waking their device? (But before actually unlocking)

Perhaps it’s because I’ve turned on syncing Bookmarks in iCloud? I tried turning it off to see if that allows editing, nada..

Not sure, but I've reported the issue since this is affecting more than just me

15PM calling a 16P and second call does not ring on 16P unless you wait several, 10 to 15 seconds, before second call, after ending first call.

15PM looks normal on 2nd call and ring tone is heard. Also 16P fails to ring intermittently unless settings, sounds & haptics, ringtone and alerts is moved to initiate a ring tone, again intermittent on 16P.

Both iPhones iOS 26.0 (23A5260u).

I am too. I think I was the first to mention this literally after the revised beta released. If I restart it works for like a minute then stops. Something on the revised beta broke it

how the heck do I open a tab in private mode on the new safari?

Edit: the moment I have a screen time code enabled, private mode does not work. Must be a bug cuz I have no limitation set for Safari in there and I fail to understand how these two things are supposed to be related

Anyone else getting an alert to install the beta even though it’s already installed? I got the alert last night for the first time, go into software update in settings and it’s letting me install iOS 26 beta even though I have already done that!

Its most probably an update.
