Anyone else have their System Data absolutely spike at random in size on this beta?

Happened this morning, got a notification that I was out of storage. It kept increasing until the phone was no longer responsive, then it restarted itself and the system data went back to normal.

Seems, there is a major memory leak, that impacts this release from time to time.
Memory fills until "out of memory exception" and then a restart fixes this misbehavior.

Wondering if anyone else is having issues with alarms not breaking through do not disturb. On all prior os’es they would still work. Most days I wake up before my alarm and cancel them but twice since beta 3 I slept past my alarm and woke up to it on the screen with the stop or snooze option and no sound and once I noticed as I was working my sleep alarm showing a snooze time. I neither stopped or snoozed it. I reported this in feedback was not an issue on beta 1 pr 2. Hope they fix it don’t want to miss a meeting because of it.
Alarms that don’t go off or ring have been an issue since iOS 17 for some users, including me. They fixed them, for me, but apparently they are back for some.
Hope this gets fixed soon, again.

Things like these make me always wonder how solid iOS really is.
I mean, we’re talking about a very simple and fundamental feature here.
It’s maddening when all you can do after sleeping in is venting and blaming a stranger in California…

But ey, one of many examples of how some person in Cupertino doesn’t understand how their work can affect people in every corner of this planet.

Is anyone else having issues with time sensitive text not deleting... and some text not being cleared when attempting to delete all deleted messages?

Feedback just submitted.

Yes, and just the Messages app on iOS in general has been SUPER buggy for me.
Like I can’t scroll up to read old messages in 1:1 or Group messages without it jumping back down to the latest message.
Same when attempting to swipe through a group of photos that were sent.
It resets back to the first image, and jumps to the bottom / latest message.
Feedback submitted but no response yet or other reports like it. :(

I thought I was the only one. This is why I go crazy with setting alarms. 3 on my iPhone, 3 on my HomePod, all set 15 minutes apart. It's overkill, but it's prevented me from getting to work late in the past.

This beta is installed on my spare iPhone 11. I have a 4x2 widget stack of 2 on my Home Screen - Weather and Today’s Reminders. For some reason an additional widget is getting added to the stack. When I first installed the beta, it was the Music widget. Much like it added itself, that eventually went by itself. As this is a spare phone, I switch it off when I’ve done playing around on it. Today when I’ve switched it on, a Meta widget has added itself to the stack. (This is not a Smart Stack, it’s an ordinary two widget stack.)

Expected behaviour: Widgets not to add themselves to a stack.

Reported under FB18862051.

One thing that's really annoying me in this beta, and in all three betas actually, is the weather app. The bar at the bottom that you can use to quickly change locations is very glitchy when you drag it. You have to be very precise.

Every stack has two options (visible in edit mode): Smart Rotate and Widget Suggestions.

Make sure WS is off. If it already is, try turning it on, exit, then back off again.

It’d gone again by itself prior to your message. But thanks for this. I’ve just checked and both Smart Rotate and Widget Suggestions were on. So presumably they’ve been widget suggestions. I’ve now switched both off, so hopefully that was the reason and I don’t see any unwanted widgets appearing from now!

I actually really despise the new swipe gestures in Safari, how you can go to the previous page and next page in your history by swiping from the center of the screen. Sometimes, a website has an element where you scroll left to right. And I find myself accidentally leaving the webpage I'm on because I'm trying to swipe to scroll sideways, but it goes back to the last page I was on.

I love the fact that if the person you’re calling takes the call, your iPhone vibrates to indicate that your now connected to who you wanted to call - same thing when you hang up the call it vibrates. Absolutely love it, hope it stays this way for official release because I went back to iOS 18.5 because of heat on my 15 PM

So far with DB3 I’m pretty happy. Sure there are still some smaller visual issues, we all know about the Liquid Glass controversy currently and phone is running quite warm sometimes and battery life could be better.
But overall it’s pretty good for me at this stage.

Do we have hope to see a new beta this week? What do you think?

More likely next Mon now

Any notification Liquid Glass change? It was unreadable (at least until Beta 2). Does this “toning-down” of Liquid Glass make Notifications more readable? Can anyone post a screenshot please?

I went straight from 18.5 to B3 so missed all the excitement.

It's more transparent than iOS 18 for sure, but it's all legible. It's possible to make some crazy unreadable colour combinations in places such as Messages background, but the defaults are all readable. It looks good. I'm happy with the transition and am curious as to what UI changes the next betas bring.

Thanks! Per my usual comments, I won’t be updating, but that and Control Centre are two of the most egregious changes. A bit sad to see that they’ve decided to stick with those. Notifications are not that readable.
