iOS 26 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

1) The push notification sound rarely works. Push notifications appear on the screen, but very often without sound. Sometimes there is sound.
2) Predictive typing is disabled in the keyboard settings and cannot be enabled.
Restarting the phone doesn't solve the problem.
It's been two days since installing iOS, and battery drain is still noticeably higher than on iOS 18.7. The phone is cold.

Thanks. It’s just been so long since I’ve done it that way ha. They posted the IPSW anyway so it’s a non issue
Yesterday morning until this morning, my phone was cold and draining less efficiently after the update. Today, it's gotten warm and draining twice as fast. What's happening to you on iOS 26?
2 hours of screen time on Wi-Fi and 40% charge on a new battery... that's a nightmare. On iOS 18, 75% battery charge was enough for 9 hours of screen time.

Just noticed this - the device color option under tinted icons is unavailable/greyed out on my 16PM. For reference, it’s a black titanium, 512gb model, if that makes any difference. Anyone else?
I have it on my 2018 iPad Pro. I won’t be putting it on my 15 Pro running 18.7. I cannot bare to spoil what’s currently the best the phone has run since purchase. I have always installed the new iOS release on day one btw. This time I’ll wait for 26.1 at the earliest.
After connecting to Wi-Fi, the Wi-Fi settings show that I'm connected to the network, but the LTE option remains in the upper right corner, and the internet is working via LTE. This issue hasn't occurred with other firmware versions.

As with iOS 7, a major revamp (and bug fixing) is an exciting time for we techies; but it's harder to make the forgive Apple case to release something so buggy nowadays with such a swell of mainstream users dependent upon their devices. I'm still optimistic that iOS 26 will mature into a gorgeous platform for years to come.
Same, but in reverse. I have a 17 PM coming today [so I’m forced to use OS 26], but my M4 iPad Pro on 18.7 will wait until November.
My understanding is that the revised OS 26 is only for the 17 models.
(Re)Setting up ⌚️ 9 and using the Solar Dial face, it appears as though it doesn’t allow Messages and there was another complication. In the Watch app Messages is set to Off and on the Watch it’s there but can’t tap it.

Issue with sharing as in a YT vid or other similar item.
When sharing, the vid will stop while you enter the destination and subject. If this is a core Apple like Mail, it will process in the background. All else process in the foreground. I do not remember this happening on 18. This happens even if the non-Apple app is the default.

Just had a look and it's the same for me too - also Black Titanium.
Also noticed there's still UI issues with Apple Music and art work - tracks which have played previously are stuck 'behind' what's currently playing.

Annoying bug I've found which is fairly new - in CarPlay, your Apple Music playlist order preference isn't respected.
I sort all playlists by reverse order, so the newest added songs are at the top. In CarPlay, they used to follow this, but today I noticed they're in non-reverse order so the newest added songs are right at the bottom.
Which is tedious. Hope they fix this soon. Submitted a bug report.

I did on 17 PM and there's noticable stutter when scrolling in safari, photos, even in settings. It's the same as 15 PM on iOS 26 final. I hope 26.1 is going to fix it.
