While i'm definitely looking forward to see what OS 26.1 has in store, I still believe Apple needs an immediate update this week to fix OS 26 as is. I joke about holding out for iPadOS 26 until November, but making users wait a whole 1 month+ with glaring issue is ultra level crazy.

I'm having an issue where my custom lock screen and home screen wallpaper revert to another wallpaper set, usually a stock set. This is happening almost daily.

I'm using a 16 Pro Max.

I do have an odd bug with iPhone 17 Pro and iOS 26.

Basically when I unlock the iPhone while the phone is connected to my primary router and while I'm wearing Apple Watch (10 with os26) the WiFi connections drops for around 5-15 seconds. Then it reconnects.

If I'm not wearing the Apple Watch it doesn't happen, and if the iPhone is connected to my secondary access point it doesn't happen either even while wearing the watch.

It does also happen while wearing the Apple Watch and the iPhone is connected to somewhere else's Wi-Fi (like at work or at the coffee shop).

Only after I unlock the iPhone and for a few seconds.

EDIT: I just saw there is a thread about this, sorry! :D

I just experienced a full system crash and respring on iOS 26 (14 Pro Max) only a week after installation.
Seems the final release is no better than beta software in terms of quality/stability 😕

On my iPhone 17 Pro, notifications aren't working properly. Either they don't arrive, or they do reach other devices where I'm logged in, or it doesn't clear notifications for messages I see on my other devices. It worked fine on my iPhone 15 Pro, so it could be something related to iOS 26.0 on the iPhone 17 Pro.

Updated to 26 from 18.7 on my 14 pro. Wanted to see if things were going to get worse…. So far everything is stable and the best part is my great ram management from iOS 16 is back! The phone actually keeps apps in the background again and isn’t aggressively killing them off. I think I saw a post somewhere that said 18.4 started the aggressive ram management for people. I never experienced good ram management in iOS 18 because I went from 16.7.2 to 18.6.

It’s interesting to see some complaints on here but this is where you are going to see it! So far so good on my 14 pro. Going to hang on another year and maybe do the 18 pro or maybe not! Nothing weird happening on mine but it’s been less than 24 hours. Maybe something will come up. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I do see the missing wallet icon in system services and yes a tiny bit of micro stutter on scrolling when the scroll is coming to a stop in safari. I’m sure they’ll clean it up. Otherwise the speed is the same as it’s always been. The animations (if I turn them on) reminds me of when I used to jailbreak and you could speed up animations. It’s nice but I’m a reduce motion guy. So yeah no lag or heating. Maybe I’m lucky. My 2 cents.
