iOS 26 Speculation Thread

I'm asking for examples. When someone makes a claim, it is not my responsibility to prove it.
They don’t need to prove it either.
Like I mentioned before, you can look up iOS beta release history wiki that lists all the beta and RC builds for each version and you can find at least one example in iOS 18 and further if you dig deep enough.
No one here needs to prove anything and all the needed info to verify something is just a few clicks away.
It’s no one’s responsibility to give examples. If you want to disprove it, you search yourself. If you don’t want to believe it, then don’t. No one has any “responsibilities”in a forum thread.
So thinking about this, if we get 26.0.2 today, then I think beta 4 will be this week as well not the RC. It just feels too close for 26.0.2 and 26.1 RC this week with a public 26.1 next week. I am starting to think that 26.1 will be about a week behind the trend and come the week of Nov 3rd. So 1 PM Eastern today may determine a lot of the next couple of weeks from a trend perspective.

Sure iOS 16.2 beta 4 was "d" then went to RC. iOS 16.3 beta 2 was an "i" and went to RC. Just to name a few. Probably more somewhere but point being it has happened before and can again. Those letters are only an indication of the current build they are applied to. So for an example, an (i) build took 9 compiles before they released it, but the very next build may not have many changes so one compile (a) if beta or RC if not, could be all that is needed.
Rather unlikely since the new iPad has a day one update to 26.0.2 and comes out this week.
The day one update for the new iPad Pro, MacBook Pro, and Vision Pro will be 26.0.1.

The builds/IPSWs for those were released last Thursday (10/16).

But still, not sure how 26.0.2 fits into this. Assuming today is the RC and 26.1 is released next week, why bother with 26.0.2?
Nope, it has a day one update to 26.0.1. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t stated that iOS 26.0.2 would come along. iOS 26.0.1 was released for new iPad a few days ago.
Oh my Lord. What a dilemma. 26.0.2 or 26.1rc, or 26.1b4!
Two weeks between two different public release is too close if you ask me (and only one week if we get RC today).
