I got it as a toss up..... Last week I would have said 26.5.2, but now I actually think iOS 27 beta 2, maybe 26.5.2 either tomorrow Wednesday. Though Apple likes Monday public releases, so it could be reversed as well.

If memory serves me correctly, doesn't the first beta of the "new OS" go for 3 weeks initially, and then moves to a 2 week cycle after that? Then a weekly when we're about a month out?

I would love to see iOS 26.5.2, though.. my iPhone gets hot often now, and sometimes with limited to no apps open at all.

No, it has always been around 2 weeks, except for iOS 10. That was the only version that had a 3-week period for beta 1.

I’ve

I’ve never seen Apple dropping two updates on the same day

July 29, 2024, Apple had both:

* A public/stable release (iOS 17.6)

* A developer beta release (iOS 18.1 beta 1)

So it's happened before, but it is rare. However I was thinking that we may get 26.6 beta 3 at 4 PM Eastern.

I feel like since 26.5.1 I've been burning a lot more battery during the day. I just thought it was me though. I for one hope for a 26.5.2 this week at least.

Wonder if this means now that beta 2 is out we see the iOS 26 updates tomorrow.
