I was going to come in here like "I wouldn't put too much stock in the figma resources, because you can't reproduce that glass effect in Figma, which is one of the differentiators for the new UI. So Apple approximated it with the old frosted/blur effects." But after investigating, no, actually, you can reproduce it in Figma with a brand-new "Glass" effect style that I have to imagine Apple and Figma worked on together. Super interesting.

Cool find.

Interesting from Steve Troughton-Smith:

“I expect this week's Public Beta (if it's not delayed again) will be the first to incorporate any kind of meaningful feedback post WWDC. Up to now, I think we've been clearing out Apple's own queue of fixes & changes and reactions to first impressions. Beta 3's kernel is dated from June.”

I think with beta 3 the overall experience on iOS/ipados has improved. However, macOS is still suffering. And to me this is even more important, as macOS is also a productivity platforms for professionals. So it’s really important it’s optimized well for that too. I hope Beta 4 brings some enhancements there.

Remember folks, when the PB comes out, we've got a VERY limited amount of time until things get locked in. Don't sit on your issue for a few days or even a week hoping it'll be fixed next round of betas. Just enter this into the Safari URL Bar or open the app directly--

You might have bugs or an issue or something, but we can't do anything if it's only reported here.
File Feedback and often!

Good reminder!

I like the changes made to the last beta. It made text a lot easier to read across the OS. Sure, it isn't as "Liquid Glassy" as it was before, but maybe that UI wasn't a great idea in the first place.
I am sure they will find a liquid glass way to serve both, liquid glass design and readability !
As it is right now, it’s just no liquid glass anymore and I don’t think they will do it like this in the official release in fall.

I do believe that what we report here is actually looked at, unlike the feedback in the feedback assistant.

I don't want to get your hopes down but I honestly expect Apple to release updated beta 3 today, and tomorrow public beta with this updated beta 3 build. The beta 4 should come next week. It was always the case for the public betas to have updated beta 3. But perhaps this year is different. Let's see.

I don’t remember that it was always the case that the first public beta got released after there was a revised beta 3 - revised beta 3 only releases if there’s a problem in db3 !

Provided Apple wants any meaningful feedback.

For the last 3 major releases public beta always came with updated beta 3 build without exception. Since we are still waiting for the public beta which usually comes with updated beta 3 build, I don't expect beta 4 today or this week. But I really hope that I'm wrong.

The only exception is iOS 15 where the public beta was released with an updated beta 2 build.

But the pattern is that the public beta always comes with an updated developer beta build. So the current beta version is beta 3, I expect updated beta 3.

The updated build came a week after the initial release in those cases though. It’s been two weeks, which fits nicely with the 2 week schedule. I don’t know why they would bother fixing such an old build at this point.

You are right. Hopefully, things are different this time since we it has already been 2 weeks since the DB3 release.

Ummm, no. Apple is in no way directly affiliated with MacRumors. You post here for us to see. You file Feedback with Apple so Apple can see. Whether they reply to you or not. I’m very well familiar with the whole “message in a bottle” thing. Not going to stop me from reporting issues.
