not sure if anyone asked, is the public beta the same as the revised dev beta 4 that also dropped today?

Thought I’d give this a try on my iPad and I must say, I really like it!

I installed the revised beta, I haven’t noticed anything new from Beta 4, but will be on the lookout. I have noticed several more desktop features in Safari on iPadOS 26. For instance, for photos, now instead of just showing an “Save to Photos” option in the hold-press context menu for images in Google image search, there’s a “Download Linked File” option that saves images to the Downloads folder! 👍🏻. Several other nice improvements, I’m really enjoying iPadOS 26 so far! 👍🏻
The weekly usually start from DB5 onwards, so probably nothing this coming week and then weekly. We have just gotten a revised DB4 as a bonus, though. 😉

14 days for DP4 > 5, and then weekly.
a lot of YouTubers - even Zollo - speculate with a Mon/Tues Beta-5 ... don't really know why? All historical data talks against this, and it was never related to the PB1 release. So please expect a Tuesday Aug 5 Beta 5, everything else would be a big surprise ...
yeah, thats what im leaning towards.. Aug 5 and then weekly after that.. Last beta being august 26th. Show on September 9th with release candidate that day. WWRD September 17th.
Maybe because there’s no IPSW of the revised beta 4 we might get a new beta this week? Although I’m having a hard time believing that PB1 would only get a 1 week runtime.

If 18.6 gets released today, we’re looking at Tuesday for beta 5 or next week. IMO.
I believe we're still on 2-week schedule for developer beta until Beta 5 next week. Then weekly betas until Sept. if Apple is holding iPhone event week of Sept 8, then last beta Week of Sept 1, them RC.
Public beta is always 2-weeks. in total there will be Approx. ~4 or 5 public betas for OS 26.
OS 26 releases Sept 15th. iPhone launch Sept 19th.
That would be my guess too. I seriously doubt we'll get any iOS 26 build this week.
