I’m on the public betas and man I wish the Safari chrome was dark gray all the time regardless of whether the website has a white background or not. It’s so jarring to go between light and dark. Just make it medium to dark gray regardless of the website. And sometimes it’s colored, though that might be a bug?

If you want it universally “gray”, try toggling OFF “Show Colour in Tab Bar” in the Tabs section of Safari settings:

Uncheck Passwords sync from iCloud settings (the Wifi stored in iCloud Keychain/Password manager) do the network reset and enable Passwords sync again in iCloud settings

Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Color Filters > Toggle Color Filters " on " > Grayscale, no more color anymore in everywhere, problem solved 😀

Yes. Resetting network settings on an iPhone erases:

• All saved Wi-Fi networks and their passwords
• Cellular settings (APN configurations)
• VPN and APN settings
• Bluetooth pairings (devices will need to be re-paired

If you've saved your Wifi passwords in a passwords management app (BitWarden / 1Password / Apple's Passwords, etc) you can easily just re-enter them as you go along to your common wifi networks

Regarding RCS messaging... It works perfectly on my iPhone 17 Pro Max (main device) and on my iPad Pro which are both signed into the same iCloud account.

Here's my problem: I also have an iPhone Air (with no celluar connection) logged into the same iCloud account, but I am unable to send RCS / text messages from the iPhone Air. I checked my iPhone 17 Pro Max settings, and text message forwarding is turned on for the iPhone Air. Is there something I am missing to enable sending of RCS / text messages from my iPhone Air?

Don’t you have to have cellular service for RCS to work?

The glaring light to dark is a pita.
I got tired of it and installed Dark Reader. That forces all dark and can be turned off like an extension.

Will wait to see the reactions to Beta 3 V.2 before diving into the public beta.

There is a slightly newer build for iPads but otherwise Developer Beta 3 from last week and the public beta 1 from yesterday are the same.

Yes, and performance isn't affected; indexing is faster when the device is plugged in and connected to Wi-Fi.

I installed Night Eye. It does fix the chrome/toolbar issue but it’s not great on all websites. This is something Apple should fix. I do not want or need to see what’s behind the tab/address bar in Safari.

I filed a feedback but not sure how much they care about things that aren’t bugs. I wish this was a bug. It’s depressing to think this is as intended.

Happened again this morning, no workaround other than a reboot.
This seems to be triggered with charging, I'm gonna disable Optimized charging and see what happens... Any other ideas?

There was a thunderstorm last night so it was a nice chance to not leave my phone charging overnight. Woke up this morning with everything working perfectly, so it's definitely something with charging.

CarPlay disconnects are still there in DB3. Tested it with the wired CarPlay on the same drive with two different iPhones, one with DB3 and another one with 26.5.2. iOS 27 would cut off, while iOS 26.5 kept steady.

If your phone is operating as it should, you'll see no difference at all.

If you already have it, then why bother?

That’s only recommended as a troubleshooting measure if you’re having any issues. And this still being an early beta, chances are your issue might get resolved in a future update anyway.
