Just got Beta 4 on iPhone and iPad (I’m not getting the Dev betas, so I don’t know how that affects things). I didn’t encounter any issues on my phone, but the unresponsive area in the browser and a few game apps on the iPad seems to be fixed. Nothing else new that I’ve seen yet, but I only just started tearing through it a few minutes ago. All looks good so far.

I know I’m late to the game with this updated icon, but do the circles on the reminders app trigger anyone else’s trypophobia?

It has only been 12 hours, but my phone is still indexing after installing B6 on my 16PM. Has anyone had the indexing process finish yet on their phone?

I couldn’t agree more on my 12P I don’t get the new Siri but use old Siri for setting reminders and timers and adding items to my shopping list texting etc everything else I simply use Googles Gemini through safari and I’m very happy.
This is an unexpected benefit. I never actually minded ‘old’ Siri. It does the very limited amount of things I expect from it. Claude can do the rest.

As a first time user of iOS 27, I’m delighted with it! It feels like a very polished version of
iOS 26. If Apple released beta 6 as the final version, I’d be more than happy.

It’s good to have iOS back to being a great OS. Version 26 felt rough for a long time and even when they got rid of the bugs, it didn’t quite cut the mustard. Version 27 ‘feels’ very nice indeed.

Exactly! and it is a beta, this is shaping up to be an awesome release once optimised and polished!

If you had seen my original message the previous poster was referring to, you would see that it begins with:

“A good beta, all of my previously reported bugs were fixed.”

My role as a beta tester is to find as many bugs and imperfections as possible and report them to Apple, so when the final iOS release goes to the general public, it can indeed become “an awesome release once optimised and polished!”. So, the way I see it, I am actually doing my part in helping Apple with optimising and polishing. 😉

Dev Beta 6 and Public Beta 4 have the exact same build number, so nothing affects anything here

I think this is expected behavior now that we have LLM Siri with context and screen awareness. This way, you can have Siri open while you go to a different app, and it stays aware of what’s on the screen without reactivating. To dismiss Siri, swipe the black Siri bubble away.

Yes, I quite like this change as it also affects shortcuts.

I have one which does various stuff when I unplug my phone from charging overnight. Apart from checking the time (to make sure it really is morning and not just that I charged my phone during the day for once!) it also pauses for about 20 seconds, constantly checking if the phone is unlocked.

This is so it can run in what I call "silent" mode if the phone stays locked, but tell me loads of stuff about the weather and my calendar entries for the day etc if not locked.

Previously, I had to be careful to unlock the phone without otherwise interacting with it otherwise the shortcut just aborted. Now, I can even open other apps and do stuff while it runs. I like this change.

I'm really into shortcuts 😁 So ... TLDR: Shortcuts are no longer terminated by interacting with the phone while they run.

Had this happen for the first time in a few betas. This app has been in my Recently Added folder for a couple months and the icon has been displaying fine, even yesterday after installing this beta. This is what it looks like this morning. The app icon looks normal in its regular folder too.
