1) Locking screen on landscape mode on iPhone (right now it only locks the screen on portrait mode).

2) Blocking phone calls and messages from specific phone numbers.

3) Easier file sharing, with the ability to drop folders in the Applications section of iTunes. This is already possible indirectly (compress folder into a zip file, send zip file to iPhone, decompress there to recreate the folder), so it should be possible directly.

Everything else I would like to have is already there.

Having separate volume adjuster such as: ringtones, texts, sound, etc.
Also ability to remove the little sound it plays after you send a text.

Ability to put Newsstand in a folder, or, ability to remove certain apps from view on your screens.

Ability to edit what the alerts look like on look screen, like what they looked like in in ios 3 and maybe 4

More notification power, able to edit more in depth on how you want your apps to notify you.

Ability to view every process you have running and power to end it, or a button that stops all non essential processes.

Make folders able to hold 16 apps instead of 12

Hope to see these in IOS 5.2

Split screen apps..
Like windows 8 metro. If apple were to make it part of the SDK where developers can add that feature to their app it would be amazing..l
Make it part of the multi tasking API.

:D this would probably work on iPad only though.

These are just four small features I really wanted to see in iOS 5:

# Ability to hide "built-in" apps (If I'm never going to use Newsstand or Stocks, why keep them on my homescreen?)
# "Find" in Safari < Thanks charliehifi
# Larger folders or multi-paged folders (33% increased capacity at least?)
# Remove all background apps w/ one click

If you have your own ideas, please share them. :apple:

I agree with your first and third suggestions. Hiding the default apps would be good. Larger folders too? Yes please.

I'm not going for any drastic changes here.

My thoughts?

1) not to be kicked out of the App Store when you download a app.

2) new wallpapers

3) a few new widgets for Notification Center

Only 3 there :L

We are too close to WWDC to have a iOS 5.2.

Next thing is iOS 6. No iOS 5.2. Maybe iOS 5.1.1, but no more.

iOS 6 will be announced in 1 month and a half. Not enough time for iOS 5.2.

There hasnt been even betas!!!

You can lock it in portrait mode using the assistive touch.

Go to:
settings
general
accessibility
assistive touch...on

touch the new home screen icon
device
rotate screen
lock screen

There you have it.
