No, you are implying that I'm saying that. All weakness found so far that they are holding on are not untethered and I don't think this guy found anything that could be untethered, especially if its userland based.
If he had anything, he would put up a legitimate proof of concept video.
We see this same exact garbage with every new firmware family Apple puts out.
The fake pictures, the fake videos, those who claim I will release it on this day or that day. Never once, I repeat, never once has one of these fakers released anything.
Geohot's situation was completely different, as were the cases of all the known current jailbreakers. When they knew they had a working solution, they either provided a legitimate proof of concept video or made a release.
This is all deja-vu to us.
Besides that, the release of the current jailbreak will most certainly be tied to the date Apple releases the 6.1 firmware update, not some arbitrary date on the calendar.

Last year a guy on Twitter said he had a untethered jailbreak and would release it on the 22nd. Many many people believed it. Guess what happened at the end? It was all a prank.

If you are a new group or individual, you need to put out proof or an actual release before you can be taken seriously.
What if this dream guy is actually someone who works for apple and the jailbreak works for like a week then it disables our phones completely .. just to show us that jb'ing is bad and we shouldn't ever do it..

Considering all the bad press Apple is already getting lately, the last thing they would need is the PR nightmare this would cause...

What's the harm in seeing the proof this guy has, geez. It's not likely at all that this random nobody was able to create a fully functioning jailbreak, but at the same time it's not impossible. Let's see what he comes up with on Wednesday. It's not hurting anybody.

My common sense says stick with the well known people that promise and deliver year after year.
