Just because some random website decided to put it on a list of fake jailbreaks (before it's even released yet, no less!), means nothing. If I told people I created my own jailbreak called Sh0esra1n, they would put it on that list without even bothering to check the authenticity. In fact, I guarantee that site would put any tool on that list that's not released by iPhone Dev Team or Chronic.
Any time you call something fake, you can't just go "OMG it is sooooo obviously fake you're so gullible!!!1" for no reason. A person who specializes in OS security, an ex-Apple employee...these are all people who have the neccessary technical skills to develop a jailbreak without being a part of a dev team. So next time you call something fake, you need to give credible reasons why and explain what the holes are.

Because you want a jailbreak too and guess what, the "usual" people don't appear to working too hard on an ios6 jailbreak. So I bet you'll check back even though your so sure it's fake. Okay, people like you seriously make me want to slap a noob.
They have delivered PERFECT jailbreaks for over 5 generations of various iOS devices and software, FOR FREE. What have you done? Oh, that's right, NOTHING.
They aren't updating anyone until they have concrete exploits and jailbreaks and have made progress. Could you imagine trying to be them and responding to every stupid email they get: "OMG WHERE IS MY JB?", "IS IT ALMOST HERE YET!11?"
Hell, being on these jailbreak forums is annoying enough to me at times dealing with the exact same questions day after day since the first iPhone, so I can't even begin to imagine being a dev on the receiving side of emails.
I'd bet my life that the devs will surely have a jailbreak before you ever will ... and they won't charge for it, nor give the rude attitude you have.
No one is betting their life saying this Dream JB will not be real. However, we can only go by history and past experiences. In the past, there has never been a single emerging person with a fully functioning exploit or jailbreak, that has trolled the community for attention like this guy along the way. They have all turned out to be fake.
The devs that ARE legit, have been around the scene for a while, or work in tandem with existing devs to benefit the community to the greatest extent by producing the most stable jailbreak. So the fact that this guy is isolated and not showing his cards, or even real proof, obviously is a red-flag. He's waiting until a certain date to reveal "proof", as to garner as much attention and followers before the truth comes out.
One would not be making an educated decision if they were to make a 100% decision of calling this Dream JB real.
The key players for the iOS 5 jailbreaks were planetbeing, pod2g and musclenerd. All of them have been related to the community or it's devs in some shape or form prior to iOS 5. They just didn't all necessarily work together as there was the dev team and the chronic dev team. Now they have mostly consolidated or at least cooperate for the benefit of the jailbreak community.
This isn't what bothers us as much. It's more the fact how amazingly naive and gullible people are.
We ALL hope that it's real, because many of us are passionate about our iOS device and jailbreaking. We're just trying to be realistic here. That said, if it is real, I will surely retract my statements and be the first to donate, as always.
That said, I will wait for the real devs with experience to rip it apart, and implement the exploits into redsn0w or greenpoison. Or at the very least, make sure it's safe. As previously pointed out, there have been jailbreak tools in the past that have caused permanent device damage. I would like to avoid that scenario.
Have you completely forgotten about geohot and the whole *****torm surrounding limera1n when he completely released it out of NOWHERE, when the dev teams had SHAtter all packaged and ready to go? The dev teams were PISSED at him. Geohot is probably the biggest attention whore in the jb community of all time.
Again, if you look back on this thread, there is NO ONE who is saying this is 100% real, we are just taking a "let's wait and see what he comes up with" approach. There HAVE been several people in this thread who have called it 100% fake however, with no real reason as to why except "there have been fake jailbreaks in the past, so this must be one too."
Anyway, changing the subject. Here is what the guy can post tomorrow than can provide instant credibility proving he has a real jailbreak:
-Use an iPhone 5 in the video (or any lightning connector device) instead of an iPhone 4/4S. It is much harder to fake a jailbreak on a device that has never had a prior jailbreak before.
-Install something from Cydia. Just opening up Cydia isn't enough. Anyone with a dev account can compile Cydia as a private app and run it on their personal iPhone fairly easily. It would be non-functional though. Installing apps via Cydia requires root access, so that will fail unless he has a working jailbreak in place.
-Use a mobile substrate tweak. This is self-explanatory. It's something none of the fakers have been able to do so far.
I'm skeptical that the video is going to address ANY of these things...but if he did, it would go a long way in silencing many doubters.
Geohot was maybe an *******, but he still produced results prior to limera1n (blackra1n, unlocks, ect). He also didnt give these stupid "proof release dates". Just simply released his own tool with his own exploits where he saw fit.
This guy has no track record and nothing to show us yet has been whoring attention for a while now.

I hope this is legit. It seems no one else is actively pursuing a jailbreak and it has me about ready to give up on the iPhone after almost 5 years. Stock iOS is just boring at this point
just by apps... there's no hope for JB future.
