Anyone else experiencing this in beta 6?...

Text messaging to non-imessaging devices doesn’t work. All my txt to friends with iphones work fine but those with android or windows phones doesn't receive the.

Any thoughts about this?
Just tested it; my colleague with his Nexus 4 received my SMS within 4 seconds from sending it...

Maybe it's a network issue? Provider to provider issue? Reboot maybe, to solve any connection errors you might experience and relogon to your providers network? I think there may be over a gazillion reasons why it might not work properly for you and as many solutions. The reboot, I would definitely try, though..

It started to happen after installing the ios 7 beta 6... maybe there is a bug in beta 6 about this... who knows

I'm on Beta6 and not experiencing this problem you have

[Edit: updated my sig... had B5 explicitly in there for my phone; I duly upgrade every time a new beta is seeded.)

Fine here on a 4S & 5 to various non iPhone devices in the last few days. Tried reset network settings? Failing that, probably phone network related as iMessage uses data connection.

I reckon Benji888 was referring to OS X Mavericks when he pointed at the new integration between OS X and iOS 7.. not Mountain Lion.

I know that. If you read my post, you'll notice I stated that Mavericks isn't any more integrated with iOS than Mountain Lion is.

I think it's most likely due to WhatsApp adding Voice Clips... It'll be in the way it's activating the Voice Clip and audio connection thats shutting the music out.

Tell WhatsApp directly (somehow), it's not an iOS7 bug (happened to me on iOS6) :D

Ah, you were right! WhatsApp had an update and it's fixed now!

---Golden Master---
Coming in September...

So there will not be a Beta 7 after all??

I took out the "Beta 7" because of the uncertainty of there even being a Beta 7. Some people say there will be one some say not. So I just put "Golden Master" in its place (since there WILL be a Golden Master). If Beta 7 DOES come out...then it will be added on the list :)

Ah! Fingers crossed B6 was the last Beta :) Thanks!! ;)

Well, it looks like it didn't work... :(

Have you tried turning iMessages off in Settings>Messages?

I've noticed that some things have to be turned off then back on to function properly, or may even have to be turned on. (iCloud) (maybe because it's beta and work-in-progress?)

YouTube

It appears that the YouTube app has been updated to better match the iOS7 visual style. Anyone else agree?

I don't think Google was trying to match iOS 7. I think they were adding more of their "cards" interface into it. But because of this, yes it matches iOS 7 much more. :)

Not entirely sure if this is new or not, but I discover that you can have "aliases" for your IMAP email.

I got there by going to:
Settings -> Mail -> [selected an email account] -> Account -> Email

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but the default maps app now has an option to open routing directions in other map apps when looking at a locations information page. Also shows other map apps available on the app store

Like how you get apps show up when choosing public transport directions since iOS 6?

Edit: just seen it, just same as iOS 6, but additionally when going to more info on spin, you have 'public transport directions' which brings screen if compatible apps up, same as if you search a route and select public transport.

Among all this new things and improvement is there any new ringtone ? If I'm not mistaken there has been no new ringtone since the beginning of iPhone, I find it a bit boring !
any idea why ?

Because you can use whatever you want?

Yes of course, I just meant that I belong to the people that are using the original cell ringtone and that there has been no new ringtone !
Ringtone, and other sounds can be part of the "atmosphere" around the iPhone and iOS, there for I was hoping that with such a change and redesign of iOS 7 there would be as well new designed ringtone (and other sounds)
