I'm sure some of these have been posted, and may not be new to everyone. I've only been playing with iOS 7 for about an hour and here are a couple things I noticed.

I'm not sure if an image of this was posted, but the "New" ribbon has been replaced with the familiar blue dot, used in apps such as videos and mail.

Don't know if the new ringer was posted, I like it.

Also, I was going to post a picture of how cool inverted colors look with the new UI, however you can't take a screen shot of inverted colors. When I do a screenshot anywhere it looks normal. That's more a bug, not a feature.

It appears in iOS 7 the play button does not appear in the status bar anymore. Not sure if they'll add it later, but I was a fan of that.

Does anyone know? Can I switch the automatic App updates on/off? I don't want to use LTE when I'm not home to download updates.

Wondering.

Yes, Settings > iTunes & App Stores > (Scroll Down) > Automatic Downloads, Turn off Updates.

This is intriguing. Why is this, how does it work? Does iMessage work in the same way?

iMessage just uses your cellular connection if wifi isn't on. Airdrop is essentially Apple's wifi direct, so when the device is sending data to another it is doing so using the wifi antenna (regardless of if you're on a network). That's why if the antenna is off, you can't use airdrop.

You can make all text slightly (I mean slightly) bolder and more readable by turning on:

Settings > General > Accessibility > Enhance Background Contrast

So as long as your Wifi is turned on you can AirDrop? You don't have to be connected to actual wifi?

Control centre comes up system wide... Even I apps with a horizontal layout... Neat...!!!

Exactly, it lets the devices communicate directly to each other, no network needed.

In iOS6 (and previous versions), if you are forwarding an email that has a large attachment, you get the "Loading" sign in your email body. Effectively, the phone downloads (and uploads?) the attachment to the new forwarded email. This causes a long delay and is a large reason I haven't left the Blackberry as my primary work phone. Please see picture to better understand what I am trying to explain. From the little I know, this is known as Local Mail Forwarding rather than having the email forwarded directly from the respective email server. Would really appreciate learning if this has been changed in iOS7.

Thanks.
I couldn't replicate it. The only time I saw loading in the body was when I forwarded a file attachment from an email that wasn't finished downloading the first time.

Airdrop is peer to peer.

If the email is text only or small attachments it happens pretty fast... The issue comes when you have huge attachments and/or slow network...

The iMessage has new symbol when the other party is typing... And it's animated...!!!

YESSS!!!!! When you go to create a message, if you are sending to a contact with multiple numbers , ITS HIGHLIGHTS THE ONE WITH A RECENT CONVERSATION!!! For example, if you have a home and a cell number for someone.

hmmm... not working. I also did a network reset.
I'm on Wifi. tried it off wifi and didnt work. Did a hard reset. didnt work.

Mine's stuck with "Waiting for activation..." under the imessage on off switch, I tried a network reset and it didn't do if for me either, I may try restoring and then reloading a backup later

If you don't know the answer to this, then you should not be upgrading.

I am curious everyone has to start somewhere, I have been interested in learning more about it. Can anyone help me on this.... I don't know everything about apple so I'm in the learning process

Try this
Settings > Messages > Apple ID > Log Out > Log back in

IF iMESSAGES DO NOT WORK GOTO SETTINGS-->iCLOUD-->SELECT YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS-->DELETE THE PASSWORD AND RETYPE YOUR iCLOUD PASSWORD THEN HIT DONE
