IOS 7 Beta DMG showing greyed out

When I try to hold down the Option key and Restore Iphone and map to the location where IOS 7 DMG file is located, the file is greyed out. Any ideas why?

Main problem found so far is an Airdrop/Notification center issue.

I tried sending a photo from one phone to another via Airdrop over Bluetooth.
The photo failed to send completely.
I retried, the second photo went through as expected.

Problem:
On the lock screen there is a notification that "James's phone is sending a photo", the first photo that didn't completely send. The notification will not go away, it's like it is stuck in limbo.
This is after resets, reboots, hard reboots, turning BT on and off, completely leaving BT and WiFi range.

is it normal to have lost all apps after installing the beta? first time beta tester here, so sorry for the question if its a known "feature".

No, you should be able to restoring your backup with all the apps. Sounds like you updated with factory settings only.

Annoyances I've run into:

- Sometimes very slow (but I guess that's what you get for installing it on iPhone 4), animations not smooth at all most of the times.
- When double pressing the homebutton on the lock screen the music controls overlap the clock and it doesn't always dissapear
- When music is playing the album covers are on top/under the music controls on the lock screen
- Either Reminders doesn't work properly, or it just looks like it's bugged to me
- I get that the older phones get less features, but I don't really like that grey box iPhone 4 users get as a dock. It could at least be as transparent as the folders. Better yet: nothing at all.
- Not a huge fan of the Safari and Settings icons. Reminders look off too. Contacts look a little bland as well. Other than that I like them.
- Can't connect to my home wifi - it only shows one of the university wifis that I've been connected to when I was at the library.
- Big plus - just realized that the Newsstand can finally be put into folders.

So far everything has been working fine on mine. I'm using the iPhone 5. The only problem is it is SUCKING my battery life. I had to recharge 4 times today and I barely even used it. It died once and almost a second time.

Also, push notifications don't always come through. I use Whatsapp and most of the time those wouldn't come through. At least when I was waiting for a specific message they wouldn't. They would come through if I opened the app and closed it, then got a message almost immediately following. If I got a message a while after I closed it, it wouldn't push through any other messages until I opened it again. I didn't get a message until 20 minutes later and I opened the app.

I've reinstalled iOS 7 on my iP4 3 times, and now it is much smoother than the first try. Going in and out of settings menus no longer lags, opening and closing apps is much smoother, even the keyboard is better. I don't know why.

And I am still hoping the grey dock is a bug, because the control center does show transparency, and folders too. They just aren't taking on the colors. There is no way they would push this iOS to iP4 users and intend to have them stuck with an ugly gray block no matter what wallpaper you choose. They'd probably rather just not support the device at all. I would hope...

1Password users beware, for some reason I cannot unlock my 1Password app regardless of how many times I think I type my master password correctly. Even copy and paste doesn't do the job. I even tried the Password Anywhere via dropbox, no dice.

Works fine for me.
4S with latest 1pw update.

Hope apple fixes the no dots under events in calendar.
Shame we can't choose simple iCloud keychain passes.
Hidden downloads are showing up under purchased stuff.

Overall it's not too bad for a beta and look forward to what apple brings in beta2 after all these bugs are rounded up.

Speaking of Whatsapp, does anyone have a problem with keyboard? the typing bar disappear if I was switching to another chat room.

springboard crashes

I haven't read the whole thread but...

I've experienced 3 springboard crashes within a 1.5 hour period this morning. First one I had just exited from the mailbox app, the second I had just exited from the verge app, and the third I had just exited from the clock app.

I can't duplicate these however..might have been an anomaly

Meh, after reading all of these complaints, I think I will hold off on installing the beta. I don't have a test device, and I actually need my phone to work between now and release. :p

iOS 7 Beta 1: Bugs and Problems

Anyone else notice that Warhammer Quest is totally messed up? It is completely unusable in its current state. Who will fix app related bugs by the way? Apple or the devs responsible for the app?

Who knows. Apple is overhauling the OS hardcore.
1. The changes that broke your game may be intentional by Apple, and require the dev to re-compile the tame on the new SDK. But he wont be able to release that code till iOS7 goes live.

2. The changes that broke your game may have been accidental, and will be ironed out as Apple fine tunes and evolves the betas

I can't believe some people are having these problems. It sounds like they occur mainly on older devices.

I'm running the Beta on an iPhone 5 and it runs slick as hell. No problems so far. In 24 hours I've had 0 issues and the battery life is just fine, same as it's always been.

There are one or two odd quirks, but they're not system breakers IMO. Occasionally Safari will hit a snag and stutter. It's also weird to have the old keyboard display inside apps that don't use the new one.

Besides that... I'm having no problems using this on my main device. If you have an iPhone 5 and the ability to use the Beta I don't see why you shouldn't. If you have an older device though, I might stay away judging by the number of bugs people seem to be having.

PS: I'm only talking about the core phone itself. Not third party apps. So far I've had no issues with Google Maps, Facebook, Google Earth, etc. but I have no idea what it will do to your games. Deep Dungeons of Doom seems to work fine but it's all I've tested.

You haven't gotten there yet.

My phone respringed 3 times using the stock camera app (and HDR). Not only that, but it froze in the app many times not letting me see through the viewfinder (frozen image).

Left the house with 75% battery. Came home 2-3 hours later with a dead phone.

It does seem to take HDR photos faster though. Or it processes them in teh background allowing you to take another photo.

I have everything downloading from iCloud since this morning. Everything arrived except all my pictures. I have about 2,400 in the cloud. They usually always download if i restore my phone. However, it stopped around 1,700 photos mid-day today and just says downloading......
any fix?
I dont want this draining my battery

Just happened the most stupidest bug on ios 7. I sent a message (not imessage) and the person received it on Viber!! What the hell.. and now it's receiving in both viber and messages... strange.
