iOS 7 Beta 1: Bugs and Problems

Is it me or is Podcasts missing from the Music app? It used to be located under the 'More' tab but it is no longer there. My iTunes still shows my Podcasts loaded on the phone but I can't find them.

Am I missing something obvious?

edit: Ok I found the files using the search function that is now accessed by pulling down on the home screen from the middle. I am able to play them in the music app accessing them that way, but there is still no Podcast menu option.

Things I've noticed:

• Navigon crashes every time I open it
• No dots under dates of Calendar in month-view. Hopefully just a bug.
• Do Not Disturb doesn't show the moon icon in the top bar when enabled
• Some of my music only shows if you go to Songs, but doesn't show under Artists. Won't play if you search for a song, but will if you choose it from the Songs menu.
• Won't let me use my unlock pin as the iCloud Keychain pin, says its too easy to guess. Had to choose a complex password.
• Can't delete songs that came from iCloud (or wherever this Jimi Hendrix song came from, not my synced music)

Siri doesn't seem to be able to use my location for requests like the weather. Is this because I am outside of the US?

I have 127 apps to be exact. Sync'ing from back up is nearly impossible.

Should've set up my iPhone as new rather than restore from back up.

Also sync cancels when certain apps are being synced.

Just was about to try to ask Siri what the weather was, and it rebooted the springboard (apple logo on black background, vibration since it was plugged in, then passcode unlock screen)!

Tried again, it gave me the weather for where I live (USA).

I know this isn't ios 7 issue as such but I can't believe they haven't released an itunes update to support the new folders.... make a folder on phone install app from computer and apps get thrown out of folders

Bluetooth icon gets stuck all big-like when I connected to my cars bluetooth.

-text on the title bar gets scrunched together a lot
-when scrolling a web page or an app with links the texts gets enlarged in some spots
-when opening a folder then closing it sticks for a couple seconds
-battery on my iphone 5 is draining quick
-wallpaper becomes pixellated when setting it (for me at least)
-photo app gets frozen in blurry when adjusting the camera
-photo app freezes when switching between modes

did that end up working for you? I don't see why it would matter though, because then everyone would need a computer with internet connect in order to have an iphone.

Haha nope.. And funny thing is when i toggle on/off the iMessage button, Settings app crashes.

Here is one i noticed...

when resorting the order in the notifications part of the settings menu, the screen flickers when you bottom out one of the bars youre dragging.

also guys, theres a thing in location services called "Frequent History". it was beating the crap out of my GPS every 10 seconds. make sure you turn it off.

BIG issue nobody mentioned yet


When selecting one or multiple pictures from the pictures app to send to a text/iMessage using the share feature, it shows a blank box on the text message that says TAP TO DOWNLOAD and nothing goes, you have to be in the messaging app and send one at a time from the camera roll.


When in the Photos App and you click on the tabs on top Collections, Moments, Years, there is no back to go back to the other views again without closing the app and reopening.

Find Friends seems to still be the old app with no changes in icon or scenery



Phone app freezes when toggling.


Considering iMessage accounts do not sync at this point what is an easy way for me to put screen shots on my posts?

I realize I get knocked off wifi every few minutes, switches between LTE and wifi

Not a signal issue, I am 20 feet away

I am on the 5 GHz band if that makes any different

Tomorrow at work in a 2.4 GHz environment I can do more testing

i noticed this too. happened once, then reconnected before i could do anything to remedy it.

Runkeeper – I don't use this app, but I did start an activity and then stop it, and my location came up on the app's GPS. So I'm assuming it works.

Do you know if it was based on your AGPS position or using wifi/cellular tracking? My dev phone is an iPhone 4, but I can't loose GPS on it, because our app heavily relies on it.
