It's a rather annoying bug, but will more than likely be fixed in the next beta.

I assume the bug he's referring to is that you have no "play" icon in the menu bar, and that nothing except volume adjustment works on the earphones? I can't play, pause, skip track or anything. :(

Couple of Maps updates:

Night mode is back!
When you search for a destination it'll tell you the travel time as part of the pin.
Bigger icons.
When first opened it asks to use your data 'to make maps better'.

Frequent Locations still has yet to show up for me. Been this way since beta 3

Yeah didn't notice the no play icon but was referring to the headphone controls.

Use these literally everyday while riding my bike or at the gym.

Also I never noticed until now how small the target size for your finger to hit the next song button from the lock screen. Half the time the screen just bounces on me.

Alright is just me or you can't slide down when you have a banner notification to see the notification center?

strange

was reading all through dis thread...sum people mentioned abt d wallpaper parallax thing in beta4(ZOOMING IN)...!!
i use iphone5 & am on beta3...am really surprised to see dat wallpaper zoom in thing on my phone too..& i dont remember dis happened before in dis 3 wks(or may be i didnt notice it)..!!

all i was doing was just trying to update my sofware from b3 to b4..but i ended up wid this note: An Error occured while checking for a software update..Try again(so i am still on beta3)

so...is dis thing already there on beta3...??

Why would it be? Just shift + restore to 6.1.4.

Pull the notification down.
I actually ran into it not working after upgrading to beta 4--pulling down on the notification didn't seem to do anything, at least a couple of times so far when I got a chance to try it out.

There's been no play icon since the first beta. The other part is correct - only volume control works on the earphones.

Has anyone tried downgrading back to 6.1.4 yet? Should it be possible?

Yes. It's possible. By downgrade you mean restore back to iOS 6. Just plug your iPhone in and click restore.

It's sad when people who do not speak English as their first language. Speak better than some whose only language is English.

Thank you sir! Wanted to try out the Beta. Also, if I sync my iCloud with the Beta, when/if I go back to 6.1.4, will I be able to restore the iCloud backup or will I run into the error of iCloud syncing to a newer version.

I did not notice this before unless it is new, but you can click on the weather info in notification center and it'll open up the weather app.

That's new. :)

They still haven't activated the other elements though, namely upcoming events isn't tapable.

UI response is vastly improved. Animations are generally more fluid and there are fewer crashes. Signal reporting or strength seems to have improved too. I normally get 3-4 bars in my room but now i get full 5 bars sustained.

For my money the bars on the homescreen still aren't 'idiot-proof' enough. They need to do it the way they handled the camera button on the homescreen.

Tapping each bar should give a slight jump/reveal of the Control Centre/Notification Centre thus indicating that dragging the bar full swing will reveal more.

Thanks. No longer an option for full first name and last name? Also, middle names still show up when looking at who the message is from. Not until you actually click and go into that message do you see the change (first initial, last name for example).

As for first name and last initial, along with nicknames, check the short name menu in settings -> mail.

Totally agree. The option for lock screen OR home screen, OR both would be ideal.

Perhaps they could introduce a setting so that you could choose to have the lock screen static and the unlocked state in parallax (or vice versa if you prefer - or both).

I like the parallax effect when the phone is unlocked, but would prefer an uncropped / zoomed image on the lock screen.

Until then I guess I'm either gonna have to live with it, or turn it off as you say.
