Sorry for the random interjection. But what kind of problems are experienced in B4 in the iPhone 5? (serious problems, such as with calling or texting). Im thinking of testing beta 4 on my iPhone 5 for an extended period of time (been back on iOS6 since early Beta 2).

None as of now. With beta 3 I was missing 90% of calls. Haven't noticed any problems thus far with beta 4.

Just had a weird lock up. Was using an app, exited out of it and the home screen was lagging like crazy. I pulled down notification center and it got stuck half way and froze. It eventually resprung and now it's fine.

Found new bug on beta 4
The icons gone itself when i was trying to open a folder, restart the phone and it went back to normal

iPhone 4 - beta 4

You don't happen to have that wallpaper formatted for the iPad do you?

Thanks!

Has anyone else had these issues with Beta 4? At times when I open the phone app, the menu at the bottom is cut to half the size. I've also had some issues with orientation that I never had with Beta 3. For example switching to landscape the carrier, clock and battery information stay in landscape after I turn my phone back to portrait(This has happened twice but I can't recreate it).

One way this easily reproduced that I stumbled across this morning (on iPhone5):

  1. Open any app capable of landscape (e.g. Safari)
  2. Flip the phone to landscape such that said app is in landscape mode
  3. While in landscape mode, drag up the Control Center (which should obviously also be in landscape)
  4. Click the Home button to dismiss Control Center (or dismiss it normally by flicking it down)
  5. Click the Home button again to dismiss the app
  6. Your status bar should now be landscaped (along the right side of the screen in portrait)

To get the status bar oriented correctly again, hit the Sleep button and then wake your phone/slide to unlock again.

One change that I also really like is that you can finally pull up the Control Center when the keyboard is up. In beta 3 when you had the keyboard up, it was impossible to pull up the Control Center.

I followed your steps several times using Safari. I couldn't duplicate the bug. Every time I tried it, the status bar was correctly oriented on the home screen.

Interesting. You're also using an iPhone 5? Did you install beta 4 as an update over-the-air, or a full DFU install from the ipsw? If the latter, did you restore from backup?

I did a DFU install and set the phone up as new, with only a few third-party apps installed, and was able to reproduce this every single time. I'm on AT&T, use 24-hour clock format, and have battery percentage shown; perhaps the bug depends on what's actually being shown in the status bar.

I'm using an iPhone 5 and I did an OTA install of beta 4.

You might be right. I'm on Verizon, use a 12-hour clock format, and have battery percentage shown.

I don't know if it will stay the same but beta 4 gets rid of the moving timer on the lock screen. Also I want the pulsing battery back too. ~_~ hopefully in beta 5.

Haven't seen this reported yet...

I've just noticed that the Now Playing display on the lock screen has stopped counting seconds at random times. When this happens, unlocking the phone and opening the music.app while the song is still playing causes the music to skip back to the second mark that the lock screen had stopped counting at.

Quick frame of reference, in the attached screenshot, the lock screen is showing the song stuck at the 51 mark, however you can see the pause button clearly indicating the song is still playing. When I unlock the phone and tap the music.app, the song playing will immediately jump back to the .51 second mark in this instance...no matter how far along I am on the song playing.

Has anyone encountered this or able to replicate it? Only seems to happen when unlocking the phone and tapping music.app - if the app was already open, no skipping occurs.

iPhone 4 btw & music via BT, if you couldn't tell :p

I tried it too and cant reproduce the bug. Im on tmobile. OTA to beta 4. and have percentage showing. Oh and use the 'Merica clock format :)

Nice to see my phone still not receiving calls. Apple deliberately did this for non-developers taking the code?

You're kidding, right? Do a fresh install of ios 7 beta 4 and do not restore a backup. If your udid is not registered then just use ios 6 if you need incoming calls to work.

It's registered. I'm an analyst so have developer account to test dev code. However, I'm the only one with iPhone 5 so have to use my personal phone to test. I need the backup as need my stuff on my phone, else I cannot test.

Guess I will have to put up with it :(

Yeah it could be something in the backup... I restored my phone as new and the "no calls" issue went away...

Dunno if anyone found this
The water bubble ios wallpaper
Is black and white in beta4

Justed tested again to make sure.

With no vocal input, the line will oscillate slightly. In my testing, it does indeed work correctly; when I speak softly, the line oscillates with greater motion than at base level, when I speak loudly, the line oscillates with even greater movement than when I speak quietly.

Odd, it seems like the issue has been fixed in beta 4 for those who experienced it in beta 3--at least based on some replies about it, and lack of any new reports of the issue (aside from one or two that seemed to have surfaced just today).

I had this happen earlier today on iPhone 5, soft reset fixed it! Just turn the phone on and off.
