I think it looks for the device on the network and transfers via Bluetooth. I'm not 100% sure though because I don't know much about how that sort of stuff works.

The Wikipedia page for Wifi direct states it exchanges keys via Bluetooth first. I think that's why you need both: session keys are exchanged via Bluetooth and the transfer occurs over Wifi [direct].

:p

My notifications for Messages are no longer working. I've toggled Alert Style between Banner and Alerts but no dice. Only badges show. What gives?

edit: Looks like Reset All Settings did the job.

Anyone else having problems with their apple earpod remote on the Music app? After the beta 4 update only the volume buttons and siri work. I can't pause/skip songs. Wierd thing is that its's only a problem with the Music app. It all works fine with Pandora.

This has already been reported. Yes, there is a new bug. We have to wait for the next beta for a solution.

signal increase after IOS7 beta 4

Can someone else who has seen a signal increase since the last beta check there true signal by dialling *3001#12345#* this will open the field test app and replace you signal dots with dBm. -60 is full signal and -115 is 1bar

my signal has definately boosted as i live in a weak signal area for the operator i am with after the beta 4 ios7 my am getting great reception

Sure this has been discussed but for some reason my phone app butts off the bottom nav bar not huge as a restart of the app fixes it bit still its a bug. Also im having random reboots really weird its like a random boot down actually. Went to wake my phone up from sleep and got the apple logo and reboot. A buddy here in town with me has the same issue but more frequently i had it once.

After playing for a few minutes on one station, iTunes Radio put up this message and that station stopped working. Even quitting the app doesn't fix that station. Anybody else run into this?

Yup, yesterday, but picking new station fixed that.

I ran into this yesterday. I had to listen to another station.

I couldn't find a fix.

In Settings > General > Usage > Music pressing the Music app to view the storage space used by music files will display the old iOS 6 Music app icon instead of the new one. I think that's a bug, its been there since Beta 1.

Not a big deal but makes me wonder if anyone on the development team has caught it yet, since its such an easy fix.

I receive iMessages but can only send texts from my iPhone. I can send iMessages fine on my Mac. What gives?

Try turning iMessage on and off, or failing that, reset all settings in General > Reset.

Tried that, didn't work.

I got notified by ATT that I'm about to hit my data limit. Could it be a smart feature that disables iMessage (data use) because I'm nearing my 3GB data limit with ATT? I doubt it, right?
