C'mon guys, you are all not even providing a 2/10 performance here. Start throwing around some bigger BS to make this interesting atleast. Sheesh. Why so serious in a troll thread?

Ios7 is so far behind apple needs to go look at MS campus to find better copying ideas.

Flame on!!!!!!!

Well said.

I've been here 8 years on this forum, I have in that time had every single iPhone, iPad, iPod and have bought aprox 20 different macintosh computers in the space of that time.

You must be Apple's favorite customer.

Anecdote:

Today on the train (underground), I saw a woman writing a text message on her iPhone, but then waiting until the train got above ground to actually press the send button. She typed it all out, then just had to wait, holding her phone, looking ahead out the window to see if we were approaching the end of the tunnel yet or not. And I couldn't help but feel the primitiveness of iOS.

That's all. The end.

I have to say I've never been tempted to try to send a text on the tube.

Judging by the looks of iOS 7 they already did! ;)

I have to say I've never been tempted to try to send a text on the tube.

I have, but then I've also been perfectly happy waiting until I get off the tube before I do it.

Don't forget Web OS as well. it makes me sad when people make such big deal over Apple copying, when without iOS Android would be more like a BB device.

iOS 7 is another game of catch-up (lockscreen updates for instance), instead of catch-up and surpass (i.e. innovate) adding features Android already has.

How far ahead is Android? Their next OS update is a point release, while Apple is a whole version number.

This is a really dumb way of comparing the two operating systems. Please don't jeopardise the value of this forum with such trivial posts.

Also, be happy with what you have. If you're an android user then enjoy your android phone for all it offers. Bashing competing products just suggests to me that you're insecure about your own product choice and feel you must justify it by such means.

Um...I don't know where you live, but here in Portugal we actually have reception underground. It's not about the phone, it's about cell infrastructure. If I get cell reception underground, I don't care if I have a Nokia 3310, an iPhone or an Android as long as it lets me actually SEND the message (and deliver it).

People find the tiniest things to justify iOS/Android is superior to their counterparts, it's really hilarious.

The funniest bit about Apple: "We can copy you and get away with it. The moment you copy us, we're suing you."

And android 4.3 is bringing users unified game-centre and passbook features because no other OS innovates like Android....

Oh wait.. ;)

They all refine, copy, remix, enhance features. What does it matter who did what first as long as the consumer keeps getting a better experience year upon year irrespective of what OS you are on.

nah mate, 4.3 doesn't include those, that was Google I/O releases, 4.3 isn't released yet, the GameCenter, is not GameCenter as such, as I used to have an iPhone, game center was more social, etc. But Google Play Games service is more like a PSN, XBOX LIVE, or Steam, based for more gaming less socialising. Google is heading up to their "console" I think, and so they need this, and they are trying for a "gaming android world", which things like OUYA has started Passbook? Yes you can have that one :) But that is only 1 thing, in a world of things going the other way.
TL;DR Google Play Games is more like PSN, than a social gaming like GameCenter, heading up to Google Console. Passbook, yes, but many other things are in the other direction.

As for the question. I believed iOS has bloody caught up, Google has not released 4.3 at I/O setting them 4 months back, but that won't hinder them as iOS7 will release at the same time. But leaks suggest 4.3 should be more like 4.2.x as it is nothing big enough to even deserve a 4.x update, BUT maybe some big things haven't leaked. Plus I believe a 4.x update will hinder them, forget it, make us wait 8 months instead of 4, skip 4.3, go to 5.0, to maintain that "lead" on iOS you can't just give us a bloody bluetooth update, I mean WTF? Do many people use Bluetooth, apart from headsets and controllers anymore???
TL;DR Google, drop 4.3, go 5.0, iOS has caught up, we can wait some extra time, you already made us wait anyway.

That's the way Apple works.

Google has full rights to sue Apple, but they don't. Apple believes in protecting their patents, Google does not. To be frank, I don't care about Apples business practices they make the best computers and the best tablets and I think it's stupid to not buy a companies superior product because you think you understand how the law woks.

Broken link?

Working for me.

----------

What do you exactly try to show with that?

By the way, that "before the iPhone picture" it is not before the iPhone picture.

And I thought that someone finally would made a valid argument and not posting the same tired pictures that proves nothing because they are not BEFORE the iPhone
Oh? It's not? Trust me I'm not trying to bash Android. I have a Nexus 4 and wouldn't have it if I hated Android.
