Finally also Forza Football get a widget. Matches of your teams.

Thanks for this. Hadn't used this app before and it is great with excellent use of the widget api. Just a shame it doesn't appear to have team line ups or a basic summary of the game i.e. list of scorers under the scoreline instead of having to scroll through the timeline but otherwise, excellent.

agreed. never even heard of the app until now

they give you 20 alerts free. how many more do you need? lol
What exactly does 20 alerts mean? 20 total, or 20 teams you can follow, or what?

As for the widget, it's nice, although sometimes it seems to stop updating for a bit (at least there's a refresh icon there that can be used for that). The only other thing that would be nice if it provided more details about in-progress games (like positioning for NFL games or count and bases for MLB games, for example).

Accuweather update with widget!
Too bad a lot of the weather apps don't allow their widget just to use a saved location and instead want to do it for whatever the current location is and thus use location services pretty much any time notification center is being used. I think Weather Underground is the only one that I found so far that will allow for that.

Forecast+ is another!

I'm having the same problem with the yahoo weather and weather.com widget, they only load half the time, the other half the time they're blank.

For me, the WUnderground widget wouldn't work without turning on Location Services. (I've also seen it glitch with a "network connection problem.")

Same with Yahoo Weather.

I'd also prefer if these things fell back on the default location if LS isn't active, but maybe that will develop in time.

Under the settings of WUnderground, you can add location for "devices without gps" manualy. widget works perfect on my i6+

Why every company widget before the first update looks aligned to the right of notification center?

Many of the widgets are aligned all over the place. I made a thread ranting about this. Did Apple not release a style guide for widgets? It's annoying.

I generally only turn on LS for apps that really need it for my usage, so I already had that set.

The widget wouldn't work at all until I turned on LS. But I can turn it off now, and it works. Probably some sort of bug.

But the Yahoo Weather widget on my iPad (a cell model with GPS) won't work at all without LS activated.

Pocket Informant just updated to include a NC widget. Not the best widget, but it does integrate with PI.

I probably missed it here, but DarkSky was updated yesterday and now has a quick to the point widget as well.

I'm really also digging the RainCast app and its widgets.
I'm becoming a widget whore with iOS 8
