Ok, so far this beta runs really, really good on my iPhone 4s. Shutters only with the spotlight search. And in the app switcher a little bit (micro ones). But overall it is great it terms of fluidity (taking into account that I'm talking about iPhone 4s).
Oh - I have got transparency off.

I am happy :)

Bug fixed: with Reduced Transparency and Key Preview on the key preview is no longer transparent.

Basically anyone who says they see no stuttering or lagging is a ****ing bald faced liar.

Absolutely no stuttering or lagging on a day-one iPhone 6 that has never been restored and set up as new. Backup has been continously transferred from device to new device since I restored my iPhone 4s in 2012 (see screenshot with the earliest text messages on my iPhone 6).

You don't have to believe me, but it's the truth.

^ : recorded at 30fps, sorry but your video is pointless as we won't see any frame drops from smooth 60 fps.

By the way can an admin move all the stutters post to another thread ? I agree we should have discussed this subject on another thread not this 9.1 beta 5 changes thread.

For god's sake Apple, I've been waiting five betas for you to implement that regex mute filter so that I can block any mentions of the words 'lag', 'stutter', 'buttery' and 'smooth'. When will you implement this? Won't somebody think of the children?

Sorry. Facetious I know. But either I don't experience it or I don't notice it. Either way it doesn't bother me in the slightest. I'm more curious as to whether there are any noticeable changes in this beta, because I'm seeing nothing (other than the transparent keyboard fix mentioned above, which I'll try as soon as I've finished syncing).

Thought I'd share this in the actual beta 5 thread, my 60fps video of beta 5 running on the Air 2.

Make sure you select 720p60 from the YouTube options to see the animations smoothly. There is no lag.

Hope this is useful.

I saw the frame drops when going back to the homescreen from the app switcher. Apart from that it's pretty smooth. And how is spotlight?

Yeah, I mentioned Spotlight and completely forgot to go into it! I'm happy to record another short clip with Spotlight, Siri, etc if people want to see it.

Oh c'mon now. Overall that was miles smoother than all the lag videos posted. A couple of frames on one spot, that didn't even effect the speed it took to get back to the home screen. You're seriously just obsessively nitpicking at this point.

video is still uploading but will be published soon. never done this before as you will see. also iv not spoke in it.

sorry but i dont sit here over analyzing mili seconds of some random animations or "frame drops". let me know when u run into some real issues like apps not opening at all or the keybord not showing up.

by the way THIS is a bug: birthday starting without a capital letter. been filing bug reports about this since like iOS 8

Your recording was low light (not exposed correctly) so it is using a slower shutter speed, ruining any chance at a accurate video. You can tell this by the motion blur (different from frame stutters)

Spotlight, Siri, and Scrolling (per Act3's request).

Thanks for sharing, I still seem choppiness with scrolling in the forum with a split keyboard open. My air 2 maybe has always done that and am just noticing now while evaluating the betas.

With iOS 9.0/.0.1/.0.2 when for example I'm watching a video on Youtube in landscape mode, and someone text me on whatsapp, if I have the rotation locked and I open whatsapp, the screen remain in landscape mode and I have to restart the app.
In iOS 9.1 is this bug (If it's a bug) fix?

No. Still there.

OH MY GOD MAKE EM STOP

I'm just pointing out that his video is severely inaccurate because how it was recorded. If he is trying to show the stutters or not show the stutters, it wouldn't matter. Because his camera was rolling at a slow shutter speed to begin with. Shutter speed matters just as much as if it was filmed in 30fps or 60fps.

the Note 5 is really fluid...some of you guys need to check into that phone..not even joking, its a great phone but I am stuck with apple because I have a mac and iPad and apple tv, just wouldn't make sense to switch plus I can't live without imessage
