Every time a new beta is released, I see a lot of complaining about unfixed bugs, new problems, etc. Please use the Feedback app to report your problems. They do look at them. I've had replies on nearly every bug report I've filed. They've even fixed a few of the bugs I've reported!

If you're not submitting bug reports, then get out of the beta program. I'm sure Apple know how many people have betas installed. If there are 100 people reporting a problem with 1 million in the beta program, that's a very low percentage (0.01%) of people having an issue. If there are 100 people having a problem and 10000 people in the program, that's 10% having an issue.

Well, my videos show improvements to the quality of the OS, so while they are about stutter/lag (or the lack of) they're perfectly acceptable for this thread given that it's about "changes and fixes".
Unfortunately the trolls continue to go on and on about stutter/lag. Craps up EVERY iOS9 thread making it quite unenjoyable to be on these forums anymore honestly

Lag/stutter is the most subject thing out there.

This is a no win argument. Those who see "lag" are going to see it no matter what. It's just this years flavor of complaints.
Even better yet is the definitive response to any criticism, "complacent people like you [or me...] are the very reason why Apple probably won't bother to resolve this issue." By calling out ridiculous accusations that Apple is, "deliberately and maliciously crippling the iPhone 6 all to increase sales of the 6S" you and I are the problem.

Regardless of the unreasonableness or unrealistic expectations of any iPhone owner, you can't mock them. Apple charges a 'premium' price for its products, therefore, such owners get to hold Apple to impossible standards. Remember, Apple stuff "just works", right? And if Steve Jobs were here he would never have allowed this lag or stutter.

Oh wait, there were keynotes he gave and products he launched that weren't so hot. But iOS 9 is seriously the worst iOS ever, no joke!

Has anyone else noticed that Background refresh is locked on for NEWS even if background app refresh is universally disabled in its own tab?

Absolutely no stuttering or lagging on a day-one iPhone 6 that has never been restored and set up as new. Backup has been continously transferred from device to new device since I restored my iPhone 4s in 2012 (see screenshot with the earliest text messages on my iPhone 6).

You don't have to believe me, but it's the truth.

My iPhone 6s is working beautifully too. I haven't set it up as new since 9/30/2009 (based on the earliest text message I have). It's been through the 3G, 4, 5, 5S, 6, and 6s.

I've restored via. iCloud and iTunes. I've had betas on it, and upgraded through to the release. I've even had it jailbroken on occasion. All since 2009. I have ZERO lag, ZERO stutter, and ZERO issues.

I don't have a clue what some people do to their poor iPhones to cause such issues, but, I certainly don't experience anything remotely close to what some of you describe.

Again, just remember.. SAME EXACT backup that has been continuously transferred from one device to the next since 2009 -- no issues!

BTW, that's from iOS 3!! I did redo my 3G at some point between iOS 2 and iOS 3....

I was in the same boat. Had a continuous transfer ongoing since the iPhone 4. (My 3G I used to jailbreak, so I had done a couple fresh installs then.) it ran all iOS 9 beta builds all summer very smooth and 9.1 beta. But until about two weeks ago, due to a issue I had with iCloud Music Library I did some restores, fresh installs and so on to fix it. And now it doesn't run as good as it previously did.

I don't think it's so much what people do to their phones. It can sometimes be the install itself.

Is this bug addressed? It's present since iOS 8:

White keyboard has no touch responsiveness while reduced transparency is on...

The iPhone 6 Plus has a history of lagging worse than the iPhone 6 so I don't want to see any closed-minded comments from regular 6s owners saying "DURR, complaining about nanostutterzorz??@! TROLL!!!!!"

I have a regular 6s on 9.0.2. I got to look at a 6 S Plus (Yes, not even a 6 Plus) and holy Jesus, it lags exponentially more than the regular 6s. It's really only on the app switcher with it extremely unnecessary use of live blurs, scaling, and fades. The only way to turn the effects off to stop the frame drops is to turn off all blurring across the system which makes the dock, CC and NC look like garbage. That phone was on 9.1 beta 4 when I looked at it.

I don't tell people complaining about lag to shut their faces for being trolls. They're not trolling, and not every iOS device is the 6s that I have. Fact of the matter is iOS 9.1 still lags on a device from last year while iOS 6 ran smoothly on even the iPhone 3GS three years after it came out.

Remember that iOS 9 was supposed to be that kind of "optimization" update that iOS 6 was, yet even an iPhone 6s Plus can't run it like a 3GS can run iOS 6.

I saw the frame drops when going back to the homescreen from the app switcher. Apart from that it's pretty smooth. And how is spotlight?
LOL of course you did. How many were dropped? You were counting them yes?

And can we PLEASE take this lag, stutter crap to another thread? It was beat to death in the "turn off metal " thread. Why not just keep arguing back and forth in that thread? " I dont have lag" yes you do, no i dont, yes you do because all devices do, not mine, yes it does you just cant see it, no i dont, then move it realllllllllllll sloooooowwwww and stand on one foot facing north in the sunlight and you can see it."

I think we get it now, YOU see lag on every device all the time and are PO'ed at Apple. ok we understand and really hope Apple can make an iOS that will work for you and please Louise doesn't stutter or lag. If not well there is always Windows Phone and Android. So back to THIS topic, any other changes or fixes in Beta 5 (I mean other than lag and stutter which we already know is on every device)?

I don't see any problem here. for me, the news bg refresh is greyed out if the universal bg refresh is turned off.

Please add to the list of bugs (since iOS 9)

Right after adding a bookmark in Safari, garbage icons and characters appear briefly on iPad.

Thanks

Thank you. It absolutely performs worse than the 6s, especially on 9.1b4 and 9.1b5. The 6 Plus was awful and while the 6s Plus is a step in the right direction, it is still plagued by GPU issues.

People, including me, are upset because they've spent $750+ on a flagship phone with sub-par performance. Whether other users see it is a moot point. The only thing we can do is submit feedback to Apple directly. Who knows? It may kickstart their optimization of Metal for the plus series phones.

You're right, back to the topic. Well... beta 5 does stutter a little bit.

hi guys,

did they solve the bug with non-removable messages in Notification center in new ios 9.1 beta 5?
