So should we not expect 9.1 today? It's most likely tomorrow or Thursday? Ugh this wait is killing me. I know 9.1 is bringing some major bug fixes and overall system optimization specially for the iPhone 6s (which I own)
Heck the last beta 5 was 1GB in size! That tells you how big of an update it is

There's nothing to expect really, it's all just guessing. It could be petty much any weekday, and it could be this week, or could be another week.

As for update sizes, it seems that the last couple of betas weren't delta updates and were simply the full installations, this the larger size.

It's just emojis so not really excited.Still waiting for Apple to fix the stutters and horrible lag

It's not just emojis, 9.1 has been in development since iOS 9 even came out so it has quite a lot system optimizations and bug fixes, it's a major release unlike the .0x updates.

I think for a large part that iOS 9.1 is an iPad Pro release. I don't expect many under the hood improvements until iOS 9.2.

It's not for the iPad pro lol, they have been working on 9.1 before iOS 9 even came out, it's a major release

Yeah, so? iOS is has a lot of modifications specifically for the iPad Pro, they have to merge that code into the main branch sometime. I doubt we would've seen a 9.1 release already if it weren't for the iPad.

9.1 b5 runs like a dream on my 6s Plus. It's very close to what I would consider a final release. I would go as far as to say it's even better than 9.0 out of the box.

I'm surprised to see it's not coming out today.

Even if it is related to the iPad it doesn't mean there can't be plenty of other things in it for all devices in general.

Exactly my point and I'm sure there are plenty of bugs and optimization especially for iPhone 6 S

You can make a backup using iTunes and edit the Manifest.plist file to change the OS version to 9.0.2. That will work.

Never tried that before, but I'll wait for the update just to be on the safe side. If it doesn't pop up in the next couple of days, I'll give it a go. Thank you!

Tomorrow. You heard it from me first :)

Yeah right I ain't believing anyone at this point.

According to a previous rumor it should be out on Thursday with an el captain update so Wednesday is unlikely as the rumor was probably true.

i'm betting tomorrow. It has to be this week or next week because the new Apple TV is running and requires 9.1 and with pre-orders next monday and shipping later that week, their going to want it out with a lil leeway

Or Thursday? The original rumor claims it will be released on Thursday along with an El Capitan update, do you think tomorrow is more likely or Thursday? Friday is least likely in my opinion

It's all rumors and speculation. Tomorrow is just as likely as Thursday or as some weekday next week.

There are always exceptions, but the cycle seems to typically be beginning of the week.
Apple TV on TvOs, I think...
it's the same thing. watchOS, tvOS...it's all branches of iOS which is still the underlying core. tvOS is just the marketing name so that there is more of a distinction of it's purpose.

Nevertheless, 9.1 is required for any interactions between other devices (e.g iPhone) and the Apple TV like setup for example so it'll have to be out in time.
