There are always exceptions, but the cycle seems to typically be beginning of the week.

it's the same thing. watchOS, tvOS...it's all branches of iOS which is still the underlying core. tvOS is just the marketing name so that there is more of a distinction of it's purpose.

Nevertheless, 9.1 is required for any interactions between other devices (e.g iPhone) and the Apple TV like setup for example so it'll have to be out in time.

do you think its more likely to be out tomorrow or thursday?

Wednesday's have been fairly common as far as update dates go, and Thursday's aren't really all that unique either. These days Mon - Thu seem to be the more likely days without any of the days really being that much more unique to make it that much more likely in predictions/guesses. Not that it really matters all that much when it comes to guesses since that's really all they are anyway.

Wow, if you're that desperate to get 9.1, just sign up for the beta program. It's easy to do and instant gratification. It is a good release.

I'm still waiting for iOS 9 to fulfill the promises of better performance than iOS 8. 9.1 is better than 9.0.x but it still isn't great, no matter what you people say. I just don't want the app switcher to be like 15FPS on my iPad mini 2 anymore, and control center needs to be smooth again. From there I will be pretty satisfied.

most of us have. that's not the point of this thread and i think the majority of people commenting on it aren't bellyaching about not having it. it's speculation about when the public release will happen...

Isn't IOS 9.1 required to pair with the new apple tv? If so, we are looking for a release next week at the latest.

Hmm wonder if Siri is subtly hinting that release is tomorrow? See 2nd response.

How to get it on iPad wifi only? Says no update available, even after reboot. Got it on iPhone after toggling to cellular.

It might just take a bit of time for it to show up.

Had a carrier settings update come up on my Verizon iPhone 6, would be cool if it was laying the groundwork for Wi-Fi Calling but I highly doubt that lol. Appeared when I went to the software update screen, kind of weird considering these are typically just bundled in with regular software updates.

Release notes say it is for the iPad Pro and Apple TV 4.
Oh well in that case could 9.2 be our next 7.1? 9.1 sort of helped with performance but barely anything but tapping app icons (which still isn't perfect) improved. I wonder when 9.2 will go out to beta testers.

Non of those have anything to do with 9.1 releasing today. Those are all for Back to the Future day (October 21st 2015 the day they went to in the second movie)
Russian Siri spilled all the secrets anyway it seems.
