In other words, beta 4 was 9.2 GM. I'm on the beta and haven't had any prompt for an update ... and obviously I won't.

I'll probably restore now and start fresh since my iPhone 6 and Air 2 have gone through all stages of the 9.2 betas via OTA (bar beta 1 of course), so a clean up many be in order.

The problem with that theory is everybody running the beta is most certainly aware of certain... issues (not gonna invoke the L & S phrase) that are pretty much a part of iOS 8 & 9. You would think they would take the time to smooth out some of that stuff if they believed the major bugs had been squashed.

Of course there's always the theory that Tim is REALLY generous when it comes to holiday leave.
Issues can certainly be there still it's basically down to what changes get into the release. At some point they draw the line even thought there are more things to address, otherwise there really wouldn't be any releases as there is pretty much always something to address.

The app switcher is all weird if you have Reduce Motion set to "ON".
Does it look like overlaying cards that move one by one as you swipe? If so that was introduced in one of the betas this time round. A lot of people seem to dislike it.

I was really hoping this version would improve the reliability of offline downloading with iCloud Music Library/Apple Music.

Nope: The very first song I tried to save for offline access has completely broken the Music app. It won't download, but it's stuck in the queue, I can't cancel the download, and I can't delete the song. Even turning off iCloud Music Library and restarting the phone doesn't fix it - it's somehow STILL blocking the queue forever. To be honest, I'm a little impressed; it seems like it would actually take work to make an issue this persistent.

Did they FINALLY fix small yet very frustrating bug in the Phone app? (in 9.2, or earlier - my knowledge ends on 9.0.1)
It's not a common one, though some of iDevice users have to deal with freezing while in app, and basically with disfunction of basic phone's purpose - calling.

On my iPhone 6+ the app switcher has no lag anymore. It's finally 99,9% fluid.
When using a dynamic wallpaper the background animations are now frozen in the app switcher so it's smooth there too.

iOS personal hotspot issue no fixed. BROKEN!!!

Reproduce:

Activate iOS personal hotspot. Only search this hotpot with other device, Again only search!! Then tap on iOS device home button. And again search that hotspot (please click the search field from other device 5x), you can see not available (broken).

Not forget the switch is not disable. This is bug!!

This is not new in this build or since iOS 9 I believe. The personal hotspot settings page must be open until a device connects. Once a device connects the hotspot will remain visible to further devices. It is annoying but I think it is a power-saving feature. Also OS X can demand a personal hotspot remotely now.

9.2 is a gigantic improvement on my iPad 2. From using it for ten minutes, I believe it is more or less as fast as iOS7.1.2 on the same model. And some things actually feels faster! Very pleasently surprised.

Yes I know.

In Apple bug report, I post the solution.

Add in iOS personal hotspot standby options. E.g in 10 minutes,20minutes is off when not device connect this hotspot. Default is 1 minute.

If my phone has to lag for an extra second here and there, and in a way that does not impede function in the slightest...in order to ensure that a family somewhere out there gets to spend time with their dad over thanksgiving, i'm 100% okay with that.
I may be the minority.

These bugs are still presents:

Smartcover Volume Display iOS 9.1 bug

Unlocking the ipad with the smartcover, the "volume display" is not shown. However, if you turning on your ipad with the on/off button, there is not any issue.

TAPPING INDICATOR KEYBOARD BUG IOS 9.1 (REDUCE TRANSPARENCY ON)

If you "reduce transparency" ON, you don´t see the tapping indicator when you write in a white keyboard. No issues with black keyboard or reduce transparency OFF. This bug is present since ios 8.

That one was happening in 9.1 for me but I haven't seen it in 9.2.

However, there IS an incredibly annoying bug where the entire Music app will go blank when you lose cellular service. You open the app and every tab is blank -- including your library, not just the tabs that require an Internet connection. If you have a song currently playing you can play/pause it. Force-quitting the app doesn't fix it, restarting doesn't always fix it. You just have to wait and eventually your library will appear.

Did anybody figure out how Maildrop works on iOS9.2 ? In OSX there's a setting, so you have to enable it. For iOS I can't find any setting. Tried to mail something with an attachment, but no Maildrop was offered.
