Too lazy to read through all of the post but is anyone still experiencing the issue when you're on safari and when the page loads it's already half way through the page?
I've been having this issue since 9.0

I don't see it on beta 3 (never specifically looked for this on beta 2 or earlier, but don't recall ever seeing it).

I opened 10 apps, and could scroll through them all in the app switcher... and could close all of them in any order... I went through the exercise about 4 times closing apps in different orders - oldest first, newest first, randomly - and didn't see any springboard issues at all. Smooth like butter.

Good for you :)

Try opening all the apps that you have on your phone (mine has 170+) to make the app switcher list
as long as possible as this happens to me only when the app switcher list is fully loaded with pre-opened apps.

Then it crashes every time on my iP5 when i scroll back to the last few open apps - although we all know they are not really running in ram.

A couple of days ago, when i closed all the apps in app switcher (usually i don't close apps) and i opened maybe 10 of them like you did, it didn't crash when i went to last open app in app switcher. I thought the bug was gone only to notice a couple of hours later (after opening more apps) that the phone still crashes every time i repeat the above :D

Its not a deal breaker but it annoys me! Submitted feedback while i was on beta 1 and beta 2 with no answer from Apple. Curious to see what public beta 3 will bring. I know scrolling to last open apps was always working for me while i was on official iOS releases. All this started with public beta 9.3 beta 1 and 2. Maybe even on previous iOS betas but i didn't notice.

Thanks for your feedback!

Cheers!

im using right now iOS 9.2.1

1- Go to maplos.com
2- Search any location (like Moscow)
3- Scroll the map and pinch-in zoom.
(Soft-Rebooting iPhone)

Apple has a new webkit engine on iOS 9.3
So what about iOS 9.3 beta3 ?

yeah, software developer here
Big deal. There are way too many variables in order for every experience to be exactly the same. Like I said before, if a reboot fixes it AND it's not a reoccurring thing, it doesn't warrant a bug report.

Yes, there a many variables, too many for a human to keep track of, that's why there is logging which would be sent with a bug report. That will make it easier for developers to reproduce or at least see how it could happen, and prevent it happening again. Just because a user can't reproduce it doesn't mean it's not a bug!

Yes, if you scroll fast it does not stutter.

This is the only stutter complaint that I DON'T understand. I mean, who spends time in the cellular data screen? If that was the only place iOS 9 stuttered, I would not even complain, but unfortunately, that isn't the case.

Also, I must say I hardly ever noticed stuttering in the control center before 9.3, but now that the stutter is gone, I notice how stutter-free it is in comparison (if that makes any sense). It didn't bother me though.

The stutters that bother me are the times where you get almost no animation at all. Sometimes I'll tap something like quick reply and the keyboard just pops into place and other times the keyboard smoothly sides up from the bottom. That's the kinda crap that bothers me.
[doublepost=1455053821][/doublepost]Does anyone know if OpenGL is back to normal again in beta 3? I noticed that some games were choppy in betas 1 and 2, but they were solid 60fps in 9.2.1 and earlier.

Is OpenGL performance back to normal in beta 3 yet? It was definitely decreased in betas 1 and 2.

I believe some over in the beta 3 wiki have mentioned that the 5 is back to beta 1 or better levels again in beta 3. But I can't say for certain.

Beta 1 had OpenGL performance issues as well, so that's not very promising.

1. Control Center still stutters randomly. Sometimes it is 60fps smooth. But next instance, it is less than that. Totally inconsistent.

2. Cellular menu under settings does stutter.

This on 6S Plus.

In short nothing's changed in that area. Apple is not even trying.

App switcher is smooth again. This change I like.
My experience on my 6S Plus is completely opposite of yours.

1. CC is silky smooth regardless of how I interact with it.

2. Cellular menu is perfectly smooth especially considering the list of apps is very, very long in my case.

Very pleased with the performance under iOS 9.3 Beta 3.

Because 6 months later not much has changed as regards performance
Radon, I thought you had moved on to an Android? iOS 9.3 Beta 3 is exceptionally smooth, compares very well with any previous iteration of iOS. Only thing left for me is to see how battery life is on iOS 9.3 Beta 3. Otherwise iOS 9 is ready for production. Heck even my lowly iPad 2 is working nicely! Enough to be able to hang in there until the release of the iPad Air 3.

It really helps A5 devices?
If so, amazing news!!!
My iPad 2 is working very nicely under iOS 9.3 Beta 3. Considering it's age I am very happy to have access to latest version of iOS 9 considering the all important security fixes it includes.

I did say "or better" as well :p

But the over consensus for beta 3 seems to be a thumbs up all around on pretty much every device so far.

My 6 even though its using Metal has been quite a lot better than beta 2. Roughly the same as beta 1 (same or better in different areas.) The biggest noticible difference for me in beta 3 being apps launch quicker after the tap. (The delay seems to be a lot shorter than all previous iOS 9 updates.)
