I was just about to start this thread!

ios 9 Beta 3 probably will drop either tonight (Monday) or tomorrow I expect. Especially with Eddy Cue confirming a new ios 9 seed will be needed for Apple Music. I'd be surprised if Apple decided to make ios 9 users wait a week, but then again, it's Beta testing so it's possible

As others have said, Apple has every reason to want everyone onboard Apple Music at launch.
With Apple's recent history, I really hope their cdn can handle it.

Either b3 tmr or maybe the current beta Music.app already supports it.

Yeah it's possible though Eddy Cue did hint at a new ios 9 seed. Maybe B3 will seed today and 8.4 tomorrow to reduce server strain

Most of what I want to say has already been said. Cue confirmed that a new iOS 9 seed will be released but didn't say when. Considering iOS 9 is in the beta phase, I have a feeling beta 2 users might be waiting another 7 or 8 days.

I'm guessing and have no proof, but I'd say beta 3 will wait till Wednesday and at the same time Apple will launch the Public Beta at the same time.

When people are saying Apple wants everyone on board, I doubt that includes beta testers who are running iOS 9. Beta users are primarily using the OS for testing and Apple Music isn't really a feature that beta testers will be interested in for testing purposes or development. Plus, beta software is usually not installed on primary devices (except us freaks here on Macrumors, including myself). Nevertheless, having Apple Music active on iOS 9 beta on launch will be sweet. :)

My biggest guess(and hope) is that our Music.app already runs Apple Music.

But Cue said another beta, so $5 on a new beta tmr :rolleyes:

Beta 3 next week. Beta 2 just came out last week and they're usually released biweekly.

To be fair, we don't usually have a completely new service launching like Apple Music while the Betas are running. Eddy Cue confirmed a new ios 9 seed for apple music.

I really can't see them making ios 9 users wait almost a week before giving them access to Apple Music. We'll see ios 9 beta 3 either in an hours time, or alongside 8.4 tomorrow. I guarantee it.

Assuming AM isn't already active in Beta 2 and can be turned on remotely, which is also a possibility

Is there a figure on how much dev/beta testers are out there,
the OTA update file should be nothing compared to a OS X software update.

For the ipsw, I bet most 'beta testers' will download from unauthorized 'mirrors' ;)
But even if everyone was pulling it off Apple's servers, it shouldn't be a problem.

I guarantee it.

I guarantee it? That's pretty bold. Given that the last beta was released just last week.

I honestly think that beta 3 will be released next week. iOS 8.4 & Apple Music will be biggest headlines for Apple news... These betas are for testing purposes which are essentially for developers.

Releasing beta 3 will be too soon.

It wouldn't exactly be the first time Apple has released a beta within a week of each other

The thing that makes me think a beta will come sooner than later, is the music icon is not updated to the new one for AM. I don't think it is just server side.

who else is excited for Apple Music? I let my Spotify Premium sub run out cuz I wanted to go with Apple Music so i've been having music withdrawals past couple weeks lol cannot wait for tommorrow! I just hope iOS 9 Beta 3 releases alongside 8.4 cuz I really don't want to have to erase and install 8.4 just for Music. Otherwise, I suppose I could listen through iTunes (assuming iTunes get an update which I think it will)
