Why do you have to wait? You can JB and not add any tweaks until they are updated. It won't hurt to JB in advance. My guess is you don't really want to give up IOS8
I wished that StatusVol 2 would be updated for iOS 9, it crashes to safe mode anytime you adjust volume while playing video and if memory serves right it did the same thing in iOS 8 prior to being updated. The tweak is perfect apart from that one bug.

No there is a tweak where when you type something in the cydia search but then you decided not to search for it. In order to get rid of the keyboard we have to click search anyway.
However with the tweak we can just swipe down and they keyboard will be gone.

I tend to stay away from any tweaks that modify Cydia itself. They are popular, but all I can picture in the back of my head is not being able to open Cydia when in Safe Mode. At that point you're probably sunk as far as keeping your jailbreak.
That's probably an irrational fear, but who knows.
I would assume whatever version is the latest. I haven't checked up on it in awhile and got that info just while I was scanning other tweaks and stuff.
Sorry, I just don't have anything that's so important to use that I've paid much attention to this tweak lately.
Yeah, but I don't know if my skills (or lack thereof) are up to that.if you have openssh you can probably recover from a broken cydia... but requires a little skill

If you use OpenNotifier, you want OpenNotifier9 and that's on tateu.net/repo/
If MuteIcon does not work for you (or you can't find it) you can try just using OpenNotifier for this.
